If you get them siped, does that void the warranty on them?

You just have to buy them from a place that does siping. I have a buddy who is an mananger at a tire store and they have sent a couple of sets of BFGs back that were siped and had no probs, so I would say you probably won't have a problem with that

Thanks for getting this thread back on track......

Come on guys, what is this your mission in life? To send peoples threads exposing their hopes and dreams, if you can call it that, right down the tubes??

Something you might want to take in consideration of sipping is, chunking. The tires post being siped run cooler, but tend to chunk off easier.

Yea, I`m leaning more towards the Trxus M/T, and they already have plent of siping...

So no more trail tires and street tires idea?
Well, I forgot to post up, but that deal for those Pirellis fell through....

Sorry to hear that. Hope that the truxus MTs treat you well though. And whats next for the build? shackle flip with 56s??

I vote Truxus MT's...as I've said before my buddy runs them on his tow rig (ext. cab stupid duty) with his camper on top and he loves them...he airs down and does great in the sand yet he said they have great road manners and last a long time.

I've got 39.5" Super Swamper TrXus STS, great street and snow tire (not so good in mud; even dirt clogs up treads). But I'm running these on 1/2 tons (:eek1:), and need to keep six lugs for my lack of funds. What is this six lug and disc kit for the 14FF you speak of? I must have it! If I can have a six lug 14FF with discs and 5.13 gears for $1000 or less, screw the six lug 14SF! I want to be able to go muddin'!

the one kit i know of is geartech hd and if i remeber it was 600 or so

sorry ben had to post here, hes not a member so i can pm

if you have to go with an aggresive tire then the SSR is the way to go. the siping will give you better wet traction, ice traction, dry traction, etc. you get the point. plus they look killer and wear better then a standard tsl. every girl has bfg mt's on their jeep.

 Let's not go that far... I do, in fact, know the importance of center pins and proper braking systems. I bought my truck stock and have been doing all of this myself. I'm pretty set in my ways about this axle swap though; I don't feel 1-tons are necessary for me, and I'd like to keep the 6 lugs so that I don't have to tear down my freshly rebuilt front-end. I'm going with a 6 lug 14SF swap and filling it with 5.13's and some type of locker/posi/limited-slip. So stop it with your 14FF worshipping :p:.

And I second http://ntwonline.com/ They are the best place to buy new tires, bar-none.

Yea, I`m really looking at those too. The only way I`ll go SSRs, is if someone can tell me how many miles I`ll get out of them, same or worse than the Trxus MT, if worse, how much? 5,10,20k less???
