See thats where Ive gotten lucky about every set of tires Ive put on my vehicles. First set was put on in highschool auto shop, and the rest were at the dealership I worked at. Why not mount them your self and, add air soft pellets?

Also as far as 4wheelparts, you still have to pay shipping and then if you have a problem you have to pay shipping again to send the tires back and then wait until the new ones come in. So if you buy local, you don't have to wait and you deal with shipping tires because they are bulky and awkward.
Thats why you keep your old tires for emergency's like that, and 4wheelparts always has specials and no shipping weekends. They always have deal going on, my email account is always full of there advertisements.

I wouldn't buy tires from 4wheelparts or anything else for that matter. Why? Because too many fellow wheelers have been burned by apparent bait and switches, wrong parts, inferior substitutes, etc. Too many smoking guns. If you want tires, mounted, balanced, shipped at a fantastic price, and the customer service and reputation to back it up...NATIONAL TIRE & WHEEL!Chevy305 said:

4wheel parts I'm sure is a bigger company so its no bait/switches/scandals at all. I've done business with them in the past and they are very nice and there customer service helped me alot. Ive also visited there store in Charlotte NC before. Wasn't to impressed besides the the yota truggys out front.

That's why I used the term apparent and smokin' gun. One is a personal issue, two is something else, but how many posts on this board or others about 4WP's questionable business practices can you take? That doesn't mean that a local shop, working under 4WP franchise or a company store can't be dealt with. It's a different ball of wax when dealing over phone/internet, and an actual person you can throttle because they messed up and won't take responsibility. BTW, that is a two way street, as we as consumers do not the freedom to just do what we want either.iwaxmyjimmy said:

hey i got my procomps on procomp steelies from 4wp, they charged me $1300 mounted ballanced , w/free lugnuts and installationand warrenty. maybe because its like 10 miles from my house the employes from 4wp are some real cool guys!!! they cared about me when my wheel studs were stripped and my ball joint was bad, they werent gonna let me drive off, but we had to sighn a waver stating we would not sue LOL

Alright guys, things have been slow lately, with little to no progress on the build...The time is coming near where I will be heading up to my buddys in NH for a week to do some wrenchin. So, I wanted to get a little head start on things. My question is this: What is the easiest way to install the bushings/sleeve into the shackle flip? I figure if I have that done already, I can take some time off the actual install.....

Put the bushings in the freezer for a while to shrink them. Then grease them a little and tap them in.
What are they, stock rubber style or polyurethane bushings? I apologize if you already posted this info, I didn't feel like reading through all the nonsense.

i think if you're running poly bushings, then you have remove the sleeves...then again that may be true just with greaseable bushings...can anyone verify this?
I usually grease the poly and inside the bushing. Tap in the poly halves both of them. Then grease up the sleeve really good as well as inside the poly's. Tap the sleeve in with a bolt inside it to keep from buggerin the end of the sleeve.

One way I've seen it done that I thought was weird at first, but realized it worked well. Put one half in first. Put the inner sleeve in that half, then tap the other half in keep in the eye supported so the inner sleeve doesn't drive out the other side. Keeps you from in advertantly dinging up the inner sleeve since you don't have to hammer it at all.
