well, im always open for buisness. ill see if ben wants them still. if not they are open for grabs. both are fresh rebuilds w/ less than 3K on them.
LUKE
Tom can take them, I`m gonna stick with the built 700 I got. Thanks anyways Luke.

Little update on the build. Side panels are done, and they`re getting Hercd as we speak. Since I`m going to be going full vert, the wall for the 1/2 top will only be in until then, so I`m just going to make it out of wood, and herc over it, to protect it some. And for the window, I`m going to reuse my window that was in the blazer gate. Pics later...

Also going to be picking up a mojave heater, battery box, and new rad overflow. After that junks in, I`ll be pullin out all the AC stuff, putting the batt on the firewall, overflow on the rad. support where battery was, then I`ll have the whole inner fender open to mount my box (that I haven`t made yet) to hold the wiring/breakers, etc for the headlight mod, not to mention give me a WHOLE LOT of space in the eng. compartment.

sounds like your project its getting crazy dude.
keep it up.
whens some bigger meats and axles in store? haha j/k dude

Alright. The side panels are herc`d. Just got done scraping all that damn Duplicolor bedliner off my front bumper, and zinc chromate primered it. Waiting for it to dry to start painting. Then, I`ll cut up the "wall" and herc it.

Pics of the Herc`d side panels are coming.

I`m thinking of ditchin the idea of the 1/2 top, for now, and just finding a full top to through on, so I can drive it. My second attempt to make a temp wall out of wood, well, it failed:o , because using a saw with a nasty hang over, well, sucks :o Not wide enough, and well cutouts are horrible:o

I also figure why waste all that herc on something that`s not going to be on for that long, because I`m going full vert next spring/summer. So only the side panels, glassed wood, will be used.

So, i`m going to look for a full topper, then either mod a P/U topper window to fit (if Paul knows how:wink1: ) or by a sheet of plexi to cut/fit in.

As you read in my last post, my last attempt at making a temp wall to work with the half top to enclose the truck, well, it failed.

So, last night I go down stairs to look around. Then I see all wasted stuff down there. 3/4 gallon of Herc that will go bad if I don`t use it soon, and a bunch of would, probably $30 worth. So, I took another shot at making the wall, and it came out best out of all of them!

Tonight I`ll herc one side, then tomorrow the other.

Why wood? It`s cheap, works, and I`m only using it because it doesn`t have to last forever, as it will be coming out next year when I go full vert anyways. So, I`ll just herc it for a little protection.

Tonight all also toss the half top back on my truck, and get you some updated pics of the new paint and sidewindows.

Oh yeah, I`m also waiting on that damn guy in brown....It`s on the truck for delivery though!:D

Delivery:D

Now with pics:

Another update. Seems as though I like to measure one, and cut twice:eek1:

The side panels I made up, are a little irregular in the wheel opening area, and stupid me didn`t test fit them. So, I`ll just have to make up a small piece to block off the bedside from the inside of the truck, then make up a mounting surface for the wall. No biggie.

A plus though, now I have plenty to wood to make some stuff up that I would of had to glass anyways:D like a little box to hold a solenoid and the relays/breakers for the headlight mod.

Edit: I figured out how I could just use the front half of each panel. It should look pretty cool when done, I`ll work on it tonight.

luke

Yup I was probably on lunch break. Where were you when I was in subway?

Well at this point I quit my job and now focusing on college at Mass Maritime Academy. I just got through an intense 2 weeks of freshman orientation... hijak over...

Here`s a few pics. Not many pics of the process, but it was pretty straight forward. Wasn`t saving any of it, and it wasn`t worth much to me, so if it was easier to cut or destroy something....well, I did:D

Pile o` crap:

Fire wall cleaned up and patched:

And, did a little trail run:D This is the begging of the trail we`re making at my buddys house. We cut down some more trees today, but we need to fix the chainsaw to finish it up. Man, is it tight so far. Fun, definitely.

This is where the entrance is. It`s very tight between the carport and those trees:

Flexin a bit:

This is how the truck looked at 6:00PM tonight. Right now, at 8:00PM, it`s got a white full topper. Picked it up from a guy earlier. Just need to paint it black, and make a window work with my P/U gate. Pics tomorrow.

Yeah, I realized that after I drove back out, and walked back to where we were, that I could have went way over towards the middle of that rock. Probably would`ve gotten full stuff if I did.

Hahah, I actually mention that to my buddy that was helping me. Told him that you did that. Thanks for the compliments Ryan:wink1:

Alright, now that I`ve completely talked myself out of buying a yota, I`ve since decided that, because of the rot on the roof, and the rest of the rot on my rig, that I will be swapping a P/u cab on my frame. So, I`m going to leave my rig topless until then. This means, I`m shooting for an beggining to middle of October start date to swap the cab. Then I`ll build a short flatbed out of wood, until I can afford to get one fabbed up. So, I`ll hold off on installing the batt box, mojave, etc, until then. For now, just enjoy the rig the way it is. Maybe take it out in the woods and bash up from the doors back:D
