Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

Been a while sinced I touched this thing, with all this chitty weather, and working 55-60 hours a week

Pics later, just got a few odds and ends finished...

Well, still no pics, haven't uploaded them yet.

Where am I with this thing? How about a long run-on sentence?

Need to wire the headlights still, get the dashed hacked up enough to work until i find a better option, hook all those wires up, as well as the rest of the wires in the engine compartment, pick up an electric fan, find a lower radiator hose that will work, put in some switched, get started on the bed, my tanks will be here monday so I need to get the propane stuff in, need to put my front shocks in, then the inner wheel wells to mount the washer tank, overflow, and evaporator on, setup my seat mount a little today just need to weld this part then setup the rest, my new slider and weather strip came in so I can change that out, mount the heater to the floor and hook that up, get this beast running/broken in!!!!!

Today I cleaned up bigtime, and somehow ended up doing some yardwork

I gather all the tools/parts that were spread accross the carport and house, put the stuff I'll need in one spot, and the stuff I won't in another out of the way. Basically just put some stuff together to get ready for my little vacation this week!

Edit: here's the most recent picture of the truck

The local yards got a bench seat in real nice shape, thinking of tossing that in for now until I can get the other PRP seat....not fully decided on it, but I'd rather not make the passenger side of the seat frame work for another seat, then have to re do it for the PRP.

Glad to see the "garage" held up for you. The weather hasn't been great here either, but the hints of spring are there. Can't wait. I'm getting a little done too. I may even drive mine by the end of April. Hope to anyway.

Glad to see you back to work on it, looks good!

Thanks guys!

Yeah, the carport definitely took a beating with all this snow we got this winter. Even though I didn't do a whole lot (could've/should've done alot more) over the winter, I was definitely glad I got it. One thing I'm glad I didn't do was anchor the thing down, especially after having to move the freakin thing over to clean up the 5 ft of snow between it and the neighbors fence.

I haven't fully decided if I'll do it or not, but I think I may take the thing down this coming weekend....make it a little easier to work on the truck.

I fogot to say I was going all redneck with the build. It's going to have a temporary wood flatbed. Yeah I know, below me :p::p::p::p:

I figure this will get the build done, then I can sit there and take my time during the summer and build the bed I really want!

What do you boys think, make a woody, or go metal? I unwrapped all the metal I bought a while back...I just have a feeling if I make the metal one now, it'll end up a big project that will take up the rest of my time off. The woody would only be temporary, until sometime in the summer, where I can lay it out and build it in the driveway, and take my time with it, instead of being in a rush cramped up in the carport.

Ha Ha, you said 'woody'!:haha:

I'd go wood for now so you can drive it sooner. THEN, take your time buiding the steel deck you want.

But, I am an impatient SOB!:doah:

I hear you there, my wife just told me to buy what I need to be able to make Bloomsburg. (Luk Pro Gold, ORD cross-over and steering brace, shocks, etc.) It's gonna be like Christmas soon. I'm giddy. Now I need to perform some "services" for her!:blush:

If the wood bed isn't permanent go bedless. Don't waste time on temporary, just wait 'till you can do it right. If you are going redneck, who needs a bed anyway?

I suppose if it came out nice enough..it 'could' be permanent.

Unfortunately, beds are required here in taxachussetts.

If you're going to do something fast..... just drop a sheet of plywood on the frame, cut it to shape and bolt it down. Don't spend time making it TOO nice, or you will talk yourself into letting it be the permanent solution.

The nice weather is rapidly approaching, and we are all excited to see your upcoming "IT's ALIVE" update with video clip! :saweet:
