Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

Yeah, I think that is what he means. Just to keep the wood from splintering upon impact with a rock, tree, or Civic...

You could have a major party wagon with four lawn chairs screwed to the bed. :D

Lookin' good. :waytogo:

:haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

Thanks brother!!:bow: Me and my buddy thought it would be funny to park this thing out in the street with a small patio set up there, eat lunch and drink a few beers :haha:

Yes I meant frame the wood with angle iron like you would a picture frame.

I like it! But I have to ask how you have it anchored down. did you take frame flex into consideratrion?

I hate to say this now that I may be too late but deck style wood screws probably are not going to hold up unless you used a LOT of them.

Do you have any plan for some sort of headache?

I have it bolted to the middle frame (body) mounts, the rear of the frame, and posts bolted to the frame by the front spring hangers.

I used a bunch of deck screws, and nails, a bunch :doah:It only needs to last till sometime this summer, I'm not worried about it :wink1:

Just read through all 148 pages

Hi Ben,
It looks like you have a nice build going on! Keep up the good work! I really like the fact that you took the time to strip and prep the frame. I wish I had that kind of time and money.

Its also nice to see though process and opinions in a thread.

keep builden' your way!
cheers
Matt

Have you thought of making some bumps in the bed for the tires to stuff into? Looks like it's pretty freakin' close...

Like I said before this bed is only temporary, just good enough so I can drive it on the street ;) that being said I'm not really that worried about it, it's a good 6" of space.
