I think if I was still carb'd I would prefer the mechanical pump because they would be cheaper and more readily available.
Hey Ben WTF mate? I've been gone all summer to see that you have fired your engine but with no pics or videos? Is the truck even on the road yet?

actually planning on doing that this Friday! :doh: it's been a ****ty summer here. if it wasn't the rain it was the heat, or I just had other chit to do.

Plan tomorrow....
get up at a decent time, head to insurance company, register/insure truck
hopefully return at a decent time, and then work on the truck...
1. r&r fuel pump
2. start the truck up again, and make sure it runs still :
3. check for any more leaks
4. wire head lights/park/turn lights
5. wire up switches for head/park lights (need to get floor switch for high beams)
6. check to make sure they all work
7. double check to make sure i filled tcase with fluid
8. remove and reseal the two plugs on intake that are leaking
9. put spacer for bumper bracket in, and finish that up
10. fix the mess I made with gauges
11. bleed brakes (hopefully I can get a hand doing this)
12. get someone who knows timing/carbs to set me up all perty like
13. IF i do go get the truck on the road....DRIVE THE BITCH! ;D

Anyone got anything else to add that I may have missed? Rather be safe than sorry
I'm just not sure if I should go get the plates now and give myself a week to get it done, or just wait until I'm closer to finishing it, then do it....this time I WON'T spend the money I need to do it.
