Project MULE - Expedition build on a 1991 1500 4x4 Suburban

Sweet video - Wish I had the tools, space, and skills to do that.

You're an inspiration!

Right now I am working on same possible horse trades to gain another suburban mainly for parts and driveline. Both have tranny issues but rest is pretty good.

I will measure them when I get home but I think so. However I was not to kind on them during the strip down, that's what the grinder was for.

Greg, the outside of the drums measure 14". They would need along with a full hardware kit new adjusters. these ones were seized so I went thru them with a grinder.

But the small breaks look like they will fit 15" wheel no problem.

OK another re-work on the ends of the rear winch bumper. I want back to the design where they level off before wrapping around the body. I also added a inside radius to flow with the body.

It may seem tall, but this is necessary to mount the winch and I wanted the ends tall (or low enough) to protect the body. This still sticks out less then the factory bumper and is actually just as tall. This one just has more flat surface real estate.:D

I am finding it a PITA to find the right angles for the ends. The front was no where near this hard to find the lines.

Suggestions?

grab a pic and draw on it. I am up for ideas.

I finally pick my front winch bumper parts up today. I am also dropping off the rear winch bumper files for cuttin next week.

Its going to be a welding weekend! :woot:

The build may be a bit slower on this then originally planned. We are taking the extra tax returns and dropping it into the business the wife and I have working on.

No yeah I know what you're saying. Most of the simple stuff like suspension lift and axles I was hoping for within the next two months but meh... all in good time.

on the short list for now is

Front bumper
rear bumper
1" zero rate in rear
Paint truck
Roof rack.

:thumb: wow I'm really impressed with how it all came together.
