Made some progress this weekend...
but not on my junk.
My friend bought an '85 Toyota parts truck for $500 sight unseen. We stripped it on Saturday, made a few calls to the PO and found:
-a 22R that was rebuilt 5,000 miles ago
-Toyota 5 speed that was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago
-brand new centerforce clutch
-t-case with aftermarket gears (don't know the ratio as of yet)
-aftermarket d-shafts
-brand new taillights sitting in the bed
-an IFS box (Toyota crossover box) sitting in the bed
-third members with lockers and 5.29's on both ends
-aluminum wheels and 35" tires with better than 50% of the tread left
My buddy's gonna make a good deal of money after keeping all the parts that he originally wanted, and I gave him about 1k pounds in junk metal I had around. He now officially owes me a few favors.
