Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

No updates of consequence right now.

But the 2 sets of 5ton rockwells have landed and are standing by. My God they are so huge, Its obscene. Still undecided about those.

But More interestingly. I picked up a 6.7L cummins, it is currently apart and was being race prepped by the previous owner. I'll be Ppumping that engine for the truck instead of the 12v. The block and head have already been cut for firerings, its got 14mm headstuds. A set of flycut, ceramic coated pistons. Big new cam, polished crank. I'm going to send my Industrial Injection 12mm pump down to the states and have it benched wide open, maybe get 500-550cc out of it. I've got a couple friends with 13mm pumps, and they don't street very well at all.

I'm excited about this one.

Those bastards look like they would bust the forklift... What are they going under?

Na they're heavy, but not THAT heavy. My truck, if I decide too. I;ve been way up on the fence about them since they showed up late fall. its the lift required to clear the oil pan on the front, and how would they hold up to street use, oiling? ect? I've got no problem slapping a set of 46" tall super singles on it though.

the center caps are staying, I bought my own set. I like the finished look it gives. Theres be no new updates until I do the cummins swap probably. unless I document some more of the 12v building. I still have to swap the head once more and install the 625 APRs.

:screwy: Ok, that's pretty HD.....:haha:

Detroit dealer I used to work for overhauled the engine on it, a year ago. Owner abandoned it. they've got the seizure process underway. I've been talking to the area manager about it. I might get it for a song, just so they can get it out of the yard. Fresh 8v-92 hopped up. HT750 allison. rockwell aux, and drop box. and the diffs are huge. I mean they're not planetaries, but the rears are 56,000lb, front drive is a monster. twin 45,000lb winches. gross weight 190,000lbs. I could flip it, or part it, or who knows. It is however overwidth as it sits in stock trim, not road legal. 9 1.2' wide on the duals.

I'm not getting into the heavy haul business, but I can make money on it thats for damn sure. Or take it to the sled pulls for a summer, then flip it. :woot:

Theres not really anything for perspective there I guess, but the tires are 54" tall. 14r24.5's IIRC.
