The only reason the top is still on is because I need it on when the torsion boxes get replaced.

I have noticed on most 1st gen's that the rear axle is to far forward... how far back does it need to be moved to center it?

I think about 1.5" is perfect.

I built 2" offset spring perches for mine way back in the day that worked great.... but were perhaps "slightly" too far back.

Pretty sure ORD or DIY4X offer an "EZ Inch" type bolt-in block that would cure the saggy butt and get the axle centered for you. The only risk is your rear driveline slipjoint length. Might want to see how much "margin" you've got in that slipjoint FIRST, unless you are planning to buy a new driveshaft anyway.

Cool, that's what I was thinking... need to also figure out what size lift I'm going to go with long term. It's at 2.5" now and haven't decided if I will go to 3" or 4" yet.

Found this little guy last night about 45 min from me and he jumped in the trunk of my car. 350 version NP205 with adapter, shifter, shifter bolt, boot/flange and all the hardware including the adapter to tranny bolts.
