Project "RESPAWN" - 1972 K5 Blazer

Cool stuff here!
When I put my axle back in I debated going 1.5" back, but settled on 1". Glad I did as that looks about perfect.

Yeah, 1" looked the best, I noticed the drivers side quarter panel is slightly closer to the front of the tire as that side had the entire lower section replaced. The passenger side is stock at that outer section and really looks perfect at 1" but still decent on the drivers side, but I may be OCD.

I need to have the rear driveshaft lengthened before it hits anything more than a speed bump as the very start of the splines are now visible.

I hope I don't have that problem. Literally every piece of sheet metal from the firewall back has been replaced on mine. I'm at 4" and will be running a 33x12.5 so I should end up just like yours.

I wouldn't worry about it, you can always move the axle back to 1.5".

You think 35's with 8" wide rallies would fit? I have 3" in front, 5" in rear.

full

They would fit, street driving for sure. Flexing? Probably depend on how actual the 35's are to 35"....

My old 35" BFG all terrains were more like 33.8 new...

Yep, 35" BFG AT's mounted on 8" wide rally wheels.

I tested a 35 on a rally wheel on my '70, which has ORD springs up front. It got 3.5" in the spring due to their shackles which add 1/2".
It cleared on the rally, but when I put it on the 15x10 centerline, I get some fender rub.
BFGs by the way.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking with the narrower wheel.

Time to wheel it
Haha not yet, I have been focusing on the restoration part of the restomod so it still needs lots of stuff before I would trust it on the trail.
