Project "RESPAWN" - 1972 K5 Blazer

Cool stuff here!
Just a PO thing... instead of simply buying a new battery tray they spent all day modifying the old rusted one so that a smaller battery could be used.

Dumb curiosity, have you made any progress on seats? Or am I forgetting things again...

Seats are going in soon, want to order some more blue paint for the floor.

It looks about like stock. For the price I’m guessing it’s just cheap stamped steel. You could definitely buy beefier elsewhere. Just depends on the style you’re looking for and money you want to spend

I ended up getting a different one on ebay, complete with the WRONG hardware.

Serviced both diffs, both sets of gears looked great, cleaned everything up and added stainless bolts for a little flair.

I know you have had a lot of spots fixed but really your rig was in good shape to begin with for the year. Going to be super nice! :waytogo:

Good repair work. Always a struggle with first gen but well worth it. Something will always come up that needs fixing or patching or upgrading. I’ve been slowly getting things done over the last 21 years. It’s a struggle with time and money for me mostly plus trying to comply with pa inspection laws. I have a good mechanic now that keeps up with me and gives me time to fix things while doing legal window sticker. I’d rather have antique plates and not worry about it but it’s good to get another set of eyes on it to make sure I’m also keeping my Maintanence good. Keep up the good work.
