Thanks, added a diagram I just found.Nice assembly detail!
It was more for repairing the turn signals but did address that the spring goes on first "before" the turn signal cancel cam, a lot of videos they put the spring on after. You mentioned you found a good how-to video from Brothers. Can you post that?
Thanks! They make great how to videos. It was more for repairing the turn signals but did address that the spring goes on first "before" the turn signal cancel cam, a lot of videos they put the spring on after.
Fast forward to 17:01 for horn assembly
Horn works perfect! I will let you know how I like it after I drive it a little while. It started raining after I finished up, need to see if the steering wheel needs centered or not.@CK5 what's your impression of it all?
I installed one of those steering wheels in my '72 C10 after having a flatter style wheel like the Camaro one that you had.
The wheel rim moving back towards me was different after so many years.
And did you test the horn? Mine had a poorly made spring plate that didn't spring back!! Stuck the horn on!!!
I used an old OEM one that I had after that.
Updated the original post with a quick video will post it here as well, horn works, turn signals cancel correctly etc. The steering wheel appears to be about 1/2" closer to me so not even noticeable, it's possible I installed the new column a little further in but I think it's pretty close to where the old one was.@CK5 what's your impression of it all?
