I'm still not sure about the grab handles, they made them larger than I was expecting. Need to be careful not to hit your head on them while getting in or sticking your head out the window etc. I will give it some time and think about it, what do you guys think?
They do look a little bigger than necessary, but honestly, you get used to them. I hit my head on mine a couple of times right after I did them, but never really since. Once your body knows where they are, you'll automatically avoid them.
I think it depends, if you might hit your head on them during a rollover, just cut them off grind them smooth and touch up the paint.
Only you can decide how often you use them vs if they are in the way. Is it possible to hit your head on them with your seatbelt on?

I probably wheel mine more than you plan on doing, but I placed mine specifically to keep me from grabbing the cage in a roll over situation. The one on the A pillar is to help climb in. I'm very happy with the placement of both and I use them both frequently.
If you don't plan on wheeling much, I bet you could do just an A pillar handle like mine and be pretty happy with it. It's just a 1.25 tube with a 90* bend.
That's a good point. I made sure that when I'm fully back in my seat with the seatbelt on I can't hit my head on either grab handle.
I think your cage is a little taller than mine so your grab handle is not as low as my handle. I may add something to the A pillar eventually to aid in getting in but will visit that if I remove the current handles. Thanks for the pics.
I'd be whacking the crap out of my head every time on that over door handle but I'm tall.
When you go in your head is usually a little more forward than the sitting position it's easy to miss it.
I think Steve's is a little more forward so it might be worse
