Thats why I plan on using coilovers for the front of my 96

i rode in the back seat while we were bouncing it around the field...seems pretty stout and not very bad at all. drews drove it on road so he could probably elaborate some.

the ORU brackets belong to a friend of mine and when we found out that the front brackets that where givin to me didnt fit around my frame he let me use his... another guy who was helping on the install is in the process of making some brackets for 52s and im gonna get him to make me a set of front brackets that ill give to my buddy i took the ORU front from as we convinced him to go 52s this weekend
and im much happier with my homemade rear brackets than i would of been with the ORU rears... on my homemades i moved the shackle pivot point forward 1/2''. this gave me a slightly swept back shackle angle instead of the vertical or pulled forward shackle angle most ORU equipped trucks have
That's a ton of work to get done in a single weekend! This is what needs to be done to my k3500
its actually significantly easier to sas these trucks than it is to install an ifs lift on one
just gotta make sure you have all your parts ready to go before you turn the first wrenchwith that said... dooooooooooooooo it
i think i have a little over 10 hours in making the rear brackets
no axle came with passenger side steering arms... this axle has flat top knuckles off of a 70s chevy d44 that i used to run on my old 8lug 10bolt

well it currently doesn't have any shocks on it so it rides like a trampoline lol
im really looking forward to ordering some bilstien 5100s for this thing, i think its gonna ride pretty damn good, maybe even better than it did with the IFSbedless donuts ftw!

i personally think the truck could stand to come down 1" in the front and 1.5" in the rear but thats me. the front would be easy to drop... springs are only 2 days old though so they should settle in a lil bit as continue to drive this thang. the rear would be a lot harder to reduce lift without tampering with the shackle flip or springs and retaining my towing capabilities... which pretty much means id have to get some 3/4 ton 2" lowering springs from alcan or something

Your frame is boxed being a 99/00 isnt it making? I thought thats what made the 89-98 kits not fit on them.

no my frame is the same as all 88-98 3/4 tones... the reason my front hangers didnt work is because the guy made them wrong... the piece of 1/4" c channel was just too narrow to slip over my frame. couldnt even beat it on with a hammer... tis amazing how much 1/8" can make

Can they be done with minimal lift? I'd like to do a sas with ~2 in lift or so.

Nice. I did the same for a Yukon, but I did it on a Yugo budget. I made all the parts myself and had the welding done by Pros. I missed your transfer case. Is it Auto Track push button or a 241 stick?

You might have a front shaft already, but I got one from Drive Shaft Superstore.com for $350 for the exact same application.
