then I’m going to scotch brite and paint. I don’t plan on rebuilding it unless I totally have to. The dude said it was good to go so I’m going to open the cases and give them a visual where I can. If I don’t see loose metal or wear I’m just gunna send it.
Definitely needs some new bushings for the trans mounts. Add that to the list.

I broke a mount like that once. Had the whole engine and trans and tcase on a cherry picker and had the bolts from the mount screwed back into it so I wouldn't lose them. Accidentally let it down too fast or something like that and smacked one of the bolts on the ground and it popped that ear right off. I thought I saved it somewhere so I could braze it back on but it's been many years.

That looks pretty good to me, but I do wonder about the one tooth on the second gear back from the front of the case. Is it showing some old damage?
Don't get me wrong, I would still install it and see how it works, but just remember that if there is some noise, that may be the source. Not sure, of course.

it’s just the light from the photo and my buddy moving the flash light at the same time. There are three lights going on here. There isn’t any signs of wear on any of the gears. I was super surprised and relived. It’s buttery smooth. Looks like it was almost never even used.
Is there a way to check the bearings? Rocking it back and forth there is a little clap which I think is normal but when rotating in one direction it is solid. Feels really nice in all the gears. Where is the wear normally for the 3rd gear pop out condition?
It shifted fine when it was together...... now I can’t get the top to sit back on correctly haha
I put new o-rings in the shifter arm to get rid of the slop.
Ive tried moving everything to line up with the forks and vice versa. Just a heavy SOB to be holding for minutes at a time.
I also managed to scrape some of the Teflon off the fork ends in the process......
