Huffed paint for a couple hours after I cleaned the front of the frame up and got it shot in etch primer than black. Grind control arms and paint friday and start assembling the front suspension this weekend.

Lol I bought that bender to tube out the bed on the chevy 3 years ago and never used it... Hell I finally took it out of the box last year when I got my garage organized.

O and I bought the jawhorse cause of your BII thread

Thanks for the pics. It looks really good......

Except that one side in the back looks to be 1/64th out of square. Damn better start over.:haha:

Well if the body ever rots from around this thing throw a cage around it and call it a buggy.

Lol start over, NO WAY!

Doubt I'd ever do a full frame like this on a full bodied rig again. Jeep or samurai or fj40 yeah but not a long full body.

The wife and I assembled the entire front end today. Went together real nice except for needing to file down my misalignment spacers on my panhard bar from the axle side bracket sucking in when I welded it.

So I rolled it outside when it was all together and cleaned the shop. First time the shop hasnt had something in it in 4 months. Big accomplishment.

Only one bad part I was half expecting. It looks like Im going to need a camber shim on the side of the axle I shortened. Appears to be out by about 2-3*. I guess you can expect that when you dont used a true bar though.

I also spotted this nasty bastard on the floor last night. Brown Recluse???

That frame does look great. It has to feel good to see that kind of progress:bow:.

Did you make the wife do all the assembly while you painted it the pretty pretty black? Shame on you. Looking really good, now get back in there and huff some fumes.

Actually she was a huge help with the radius arms as they're really a four hand job with new bushings.

It does feel good to see some progress like this. Now I've gotta go spring and rear axle shopping one weekend. Ive got most of the brackets. Decided to run a traction bar too since I have extra poly bushings. Also I'm going to run my drivetrain mounted in rubber because I don't want to regretthe vibes from poly later.

Went to work getting brake lines figured out. I was going to use OBS front soft lines as they had worked well for me when I had my chevys calipers routed on the axle with a center drop soft line. Well I bolted them up and no matter what way I routed them, bent the hard line part, or clocked them they either wouldnt coil/fold up on them selves right or the huge hardline would hit ****.

So my buddy is running Buick century front caliper lines so I gave them a try. Worked like a charm.

Tab welded on radius arm.

Worked out well. Im going to run my front lines up the radius arms on top to a small soft line at the bracket. It will kind of suck having plumbing to pull if I need to mess with the radius arms but for the all together truck theres no better way to run them. Never have to worry about them being too long or too short. Bigger tires and more lift dont make a difference, setup will always work.
