Dan @85k5witha6.2 and I spent a solid 13 hours this past Saturday making a winch cradle for the rear and finishing up the rear cage design. Dan is designing the rear winch on his pc to cut out on the plasma table then we bent the 1/4in plate in the press break. as easy as that! Then i got to use a mag drill for the first time which was really exciting i thought. I drilled pilot holes threw the plate and frame. Hole saw frame to weld in threaded inserts. Then on to the rear cage. I had no ideas really how to proceed, Dan tossed ideas out there and it turned in to art. I am not very good with tube work but i did learn a lot by watching and doing it my self figuring out tricks. Loaded up my blazer late at night to bring home so i can begin to wrap up a lot of things like finish welding, limit straps, fuel system, brakes etc, a lot left, then will return with a running and driving truck to make a belly skid and tin in the wheel wells. A lot more to do but its getting there!
