rcfatcats 78k5- Boostedk5 2.0

Im duggin that color. Havnt seen anything like that used before. :waytogo:

I like it, looks different. I did all my accent stuff in bright purple, and all my friends talked sh*t and blah blah, but then lots of girls and all their girlfriends loved it and they quit.

Too bad you don't have a garage full of replacement body panels like your ole buddy Willis here!

I've got a replacement tail pan I believe if you need it. Your still not getting my quarters tho.

Oh BTW, I'm having a thrash day on the war wagon here soon. I need you to convince Rachel to let me buy the parts for a 56/52 swap and shackle flip.

I need to figure out what axle I'm going with in the front and get it before I waste money on the x over for the 10 bolt. Don't know if I want to save for a 60 or what. Cause I gotta do x over at the same time as the 52's. If you can find 56's let me know and I'll put those in the back move my 52's up front.

well not really an update but maby a preview of things to come depending on how this goes. A good friend of mine back home had a very nice 99 chevy 1500 on 6inchs and 35s with a 5.3 4l60ein it. during hurricane sandy a car full of "peaple" pulled out infront of him off an exit ramp at a light that was out. needless to say my buddys truck won that bttle and gave the mid 90's camrey a complete face lift. unfortunatly for him the damage to the suspension on his truck was enough to total it.. now where i come into play. the insurance company gave him the truck back with som money sooooo he is debating on parting it out or doing a sas swp into it with a high pinion dana 44. if he does part it out i have first dibs on his 5.3, wiring harness, and ecu. so depending on what he wants for it or if he does part it out expect to be seeing a 5.3 swap in the near future. if he does the sas. expect to see a build thread pop up for that ordeal.

for now spring plates have shipped from ruffstuff. planning on having the rear suspension buttoned up at the end of the weekend. got some stuff to do to the daily driver so not much else will be going on with the k5.

After driving my Blazer, and then driving my 03 Silverado with a 5.3, I think that this is the way to go for you even if you can't get his. Every time I drive it I keep thinking this would be a great motor for the K5.... Plus there are numerous builds on this site to walk you through it if you wanted to

finally making good progress!

well been a while since last update. just been busy with the holidays and traveling back and forth from home to school. got started on fiberglassing the top back together. man i cant tell yeah how annoying fiberglass is not a fun job.

now all i really have left is to finish the front steering and then do ord's tube crossmember.
orderd my crossover arm and cap from a guy on pirate. its a springless arm and cap for only $90 and free shipping. will be ordering my pitman arm from ord and then some 3/4 rod ends from ruffstuff. only gonna have about 200 even in my crossover steering. more updates coming soon. hoping to have the truck finished for now to make the rausch creek trip in march i have planned.

I really like the top idea.... it looks like it just covers the rear seat passengers right?

Exactly it's a lil tight on headroom but I plan on putting in prp racing seats that will sit a bit more upright then the bench. That will keep rear passengers heads away from the bulkhead at the rear of the top

Since when was the off road club allowed to put the RTI ramp in the 300 building lol, I bet Mr. Belt is jealous lol

being president of the offroad club has its benifits and belt put his s-10 on the ramp when i was done with it.

Haha nice, how did his s-10 do? I graduated befor he got into any offroad stuff. When I was there he was messing around with his civic
