what did you rev it to? just curious...haha

brought it too 5200 rpm. final tire speed on the roller was 115mph at that point. scares ya a little when the rear axle in the truck has never seen those speeds since swapping to 4.56s. truck did great though. i was happy with the numbers too considering its a mid 80's smog motor 350

rausch creek trip= great fun!

Had a great time wheeling at rausch this past easter weekend. here are some pics!

had a funny incident with my gas tank... i guess the straps finally gave in. this hill climb was extremely steep so i figured if i was gonna go for it why not hit it hard.

truck at the top, tank at the bottom.

Looks like a nice place to run!

Too bad about the tank problem.
Looks like you must have had a good time by the pics!

only breakage i had all weekend was a alternator crap out and the radiator blew one of the end caps off. the biggest break was this

ripped all the bolts that hold the box on right through the frame... time for ord's frame repair kit and steering brace. my power steering also hatted me all weekend so i forsee hydro assist being in the near future. anyone have any suggestions on decently priced kits? not trying to spend a grand by going with psc. :dunno:

Haha, the tank is classic. Had that happen to me and a few friends once. Same repair as you guys did. Sold the truck like that after years of ratchet strap tank holder onners.

No Cheap solution for that Brother!

I run PSC equipment from ORD, yes pricy but nice quality.....:waytogo:

The Wife's rig has the AGR Rockram system and it was even more $$$ and I still bought a PSE reservoir for it.:doah:

I have heard of a system called "Redneck" but never bothered to look it up.
Sounded like a budget conscious option from the little I know..:dunno:

Hope someone has an option for you.

That repair can't wait.

videos

heres some video of the truck on walk the line and rock creek. these vids show two major things i need to build in the near future... hydro assist, and some kind of traction bar setup to eliminate wheel hop.
(please excuse my dad with his comments an early start on a bottle of tequila had him rambling pretty quick:haha:)

u piece together the psc parts or buy as one? and i got some video of you on walk the line nick. thanks again for coming out. sorry we couldnt get that driveshaft fixed for ya.
All used parts, no kit.
When the drive shaft went it broke the 60 yoke also so it probably would have just popped again.

Checked out a few of your video clips.--nice!

I like the rock garden, it would never be the same run with all possible lines you could take..:waytogo:

Have any more pics of his rig or a link to a build thread? I tried searching and didn't find much. Looks awesome!!!

Looks like you guys had a good trip, I'm sorry I couldn't make it :doah:, next time for sure :waytogo:

Nicks truck is definitely sweet, I haven't seen it since he ditched the bed, but it did great when we were there last June.
