Rear Shock Mounting

Since my truck has 10" of lift there are no off-the-shelf shocks that had a long enough stroke length to fit the stock shock mounting position. In order to fix that situation I just did a simple fix of raising the lower shock mounting point with a couple of shock mounting tabs I got from ORD and welded on...along with a set of Bilsteins from ORD that had a 16" stroke length. I set the eye to eye mounting length at roughly 8" so it has 6" compressed stroke and 6" extended stroke. Luckily 1-Ton frames do not have the same problem as 1/2-Ton frames do with the upper frame shock mount being ripped off the frame.

Same place that picture came from. Probably have to call Robert’s custom trucks and ask.

what i really want to see is the eye hanger bracket and the upper shock mount to be one...

or perhaps push rods bell crank to relocate shocks logitudinally alog chassos axis like formula one....
