Wing looks good where it's at.

Full travel tools, spare and medium size floor jack along with a full tank should put the truck at a user friendly height.
But we all know this thing would look best about a foot lower all around.
Hoping some bags can happen after HRPT.
That is the future plan. Already designed the links and brackets in CAD.
Needs a 6" chop too:D
I was looking at what it would take to remove the area above the door. Riveted construction will make that much easier.

Found it weird cause my dad had a ‘73 Chevy stepvan, SRW. Had both sliding doors and propane/gas tanks. Was a good work van…in winter.

I like the idea of removing that area above the door, with the difference (it appears in the photos) of height of the windows you could even make it have a bit of a rake to the new roof with the rear being a little higher than the rear window and front that same distance higher than the front window. That would also improve the look with the spoiler, (in my opinion).

AGGGHHHH

I am looking at the wing from the back. I have been measuring everything from the bed and squaring the wing to it. I was looking from the back to line up a cross brace, and it did not line up with the cab. Now I see that the wing is not either. You can see it in the picture I posted from the back. The right side of the bed is 1/2" higher than the left. Now I can not un-see it.

It is sitting on level concrete right now.

I may have to adjust the mounting holes.

This is not good. Out driving around to see if the wing needs more triangulation so I can go faster. Pull up to a friend's house so he can ride along and watch it. My mirror vibrates too much to tell. Truck is idling and I notice the oil pressure gage is at 0 and no oil in the line feeding it. No rocker noise. Oil is full. 45 psi going down the road.

Good thing is, the wing stand just needs final welding and paint.

My old blazer was that way. 0-1psi hot and about 30-35psi driving. Drove it for 3 years and rock crawled with it and it never made any noises. Mechanical gauge as well.

In the 3 years I drove mine it never gained a mile haha. Speedo was broke.

This engine had been rebuilt at some point in its life. Never used oil or smoked and had good compression (150-160psi).

AC compressor and tubing adapter coming from @folkenheath. I taught him hat he can get them, because I just assumed he could. Learn something new everyday.

CC charge just hit for the AC/heat unit. So it is shipping tomorrow.

Things are coming together.

Finishing my last job tomorrow. I should be able to put in a bunch of time on the truck.

Thanks for another order Wade, appreciate it.

I have to admit I was not thinking I would get AC compressors when you called, and when I checked my distributor the first company that popped up was Holley, Holley sells everything now it seems, they have about 40 brands, and there was others through my distributor.
