I was at todays level up in life when I finally found out how to cut 1/0 battery cable really clean.

Fine tooth band saw blade at high speed. Everything else I have ever tried crushes the end.PXL_20220524_135423525.jpg

When I was putting the spool away, I found a pack of 1/0 lugs. I ordered another pad of 10 on Friday because I could not find mine in the electrical parts drawer. I am sure I put them there so I would find them when I grabbed the spool. Turn the storage room light on next time idiot.

Are you still planning to come to Pensacola with the Power Tour? ($$gas$$)

I've always wanted to build something that I could use that style of multi-gauge in. I think they're neat.

Looks good Wade.

The turn signals and high beam LED are intuitive, what are the 3 separate red LED? oil pressure? brake light? TC clutch?

Bottom left is brake warning. Middle was slated for converter lock up. Too bright to run at night, so I may do something different. Right one will be the line lock.

I need some sleep.

Yesterday evening I wanted to test all of the gauges. The truck would not crank over. No click at the solenoid. I start checking wires and can not figure out what could have changed. Also noticed the oil presure gauge did not go to zero like it should.

I woke up at 1 am thinking aboout it. Back to sleep at 4am. Dog woke me up at 4:45 puking his guts out. That was fun. So now I am awake.

Workined in town on a food truck until noon.

Fixed the flat on the neighbors mower.

Tried to start the truck at 1pm. Nothing. I am looking at everything I touched. Noticed I never connected the oil presure wire to the sending unit. Bad brain. Easy fix.

Sitting on the drivers seat stand, because I took the seat out to replace it, looking at the dash. I suddenly realized I had knocjed it out of park when I was wiring the dash.:doah:Bad brain. Easy fix.

Fire the truck up and spun over faster than it has. It seams to like the 1/0 cables 3 feet short than the old 4/0. If I started it and shut of, then tried to start it again, it would crank slow like the timimg was too advanced. Now it spins over no matter what.

But no oil pressure. None. Old manual gauge broke taking it out. So off I go to find another one. The wire will peg the gauge when jumped to ground after the sending unit is disconnected. So my 2 options are, no oil pressure or a bad sending unit. Lets hope it is the sending unit.

55psi at idle cold. New mechanical gauge shows it is good. So either the new sending unit is bad or the port is plugged. But this is the same port that worked with the old gauge.

55psi on the dash gauge now. Pulled the sending unit. Found a miniscule piece of silicone covering the sender port.
What are the odds

The new dash is finally hanging in the truck. Still waiting on AC/Heat vents. Everything I ordered a week ago is backordered. So I called to find out what was in stock. Not what I wanted, but they will be here Wednesday. Sound deadening and tan vinyl will go on before I leave.PXL_20220529_000204885.jpgPXL_20220529_000155100.jpg

Are you going to paint the dash when done? It might blind you if not.
