Well, not a good ending to the day. I told myself that if it is not running by Saturday night, I am done trying to get it ready. I am missing 4 fittings for the oil cooler. I swore I ordered them. Went back through my orders. Nope. Still in my wish list. Nowhere local to buy them u til Tuesday.

So now I need to decide which Corvette to take. Juniors is ready to go and has good AC and cruise. The 3rd peddle is going to suck getting into the venues.

Eileen's is cooler. But 6 days ofwearing ear plugs and the lack of cruise and comfort make it less desirable.

First world problems.

I will keep building it of course. Just not pushing it to get done now.

Do you really need an oil cooler?

Won't the tour take you near a Summit store or other speed shop? If you can bypass it for now, you could fire it and see what other issues remain.

I been there. Went so far as to contact the seller on ebay and ask where the h*ll are my fittings. He politely responded he had no record of my purchase. Sure enough, they were still in the cart.....

People who have pink horses link on their phone kinda scare me.

The speed shop is closed Sundays and Mondays normally. They usually close Saturday of a holiday weekend. Decided to be open today due the the nostalgia gassers racing today.

No, spent 0 time there. And now y’all have pink unicorns on your phone too

Oil cooler done.

Power steering remote reservoir installed and hose ran. Just need two 1/2 hoses to finish that.

Radiator in, but O'Reilly only deliver one set of radiator grommets. Won't have the others until Tuesday.

Throttle peddle went back in for the 3rd time. Bracket needed more triangulation.

Iam so slow at doing this stuff.

Watching this from afar like

Will he get fugly ready in time for Power Tour? Find out next time on Wade's Garage

I flushed the fuel lines when I did the in tank pump. Did not notice anything dripping anywhere. I started to shorten the return hard line and it rotated in its bracket.
The more I messed with it, the worse it got. Crawled under the truck and found a break in the line right next to the exhaust collector. Not a place to add soft line. So a new hard line has to be made.

Progress, then back peddle.
When I did my burbs LS swap, I got it started the first time, and had a gas leak on top of the engine.
It was small, and I got it taken care of quick.
Restarted it, ran a few minutes, and while running I stepped away to take a video.

There was a puddle about 4' round and growing under it.
I thought the gas I smelled was from the first leak.
I had forgotten to even remotely tighten a union in the return line right after the regulator on the frame.:doah:
Talk about a butt pucker moment when I seen that puddle growing lol.
Instant panic ensued.:yikes:
