Yep. Fresh this morning, it was an easy fix.

I had this happen to a friend over the weekend. He had to change the fuel pressure regulator on his 2005 Duramax. He could not get one bolt loose and the electrical connector released. I went over Sunday afternoon to look at it. He called before I got there. Both were removed instantly. He just had to get past the frustration and sore hands from the day before. The fact that he took this on surprised me. Not the mechanical type. But he is at my place watching and helping a lot for the knowledge. I constantly tell him, "with the right tools, anything can be fixed. Even if you have never done it."

He decide to replace the fuel return hose while it was out due to it looking weather cracked. $55 for the preformed hose. paid $10 per inch, I guess.

Did that fix that Dmax? You and I talked about that awhile back

Check engine light fixed.

Was showing the VVT sensor errors. 2 codes. Pulled the sensor and the plug fell off of it. I did not notice that the harness plug does not have the clip in it to latch the plug to the sensor. Dumbass harness builder. Cost me 4 hours of going through everything I did to make sure I did not screw something up. I tried to de-pin the original plug, no luck yet. Safety wired the plug for now.

I will put the front end and front tires back on tomorrow evening and go drive it.

I doubt it will do them. But I will try once. Peg leg burnouts scare me. I'm not sure if this this has a govbomb in it.

I was putting the front end back together this morning. I was wishing I had ordered new hardware. I had some, but to long for wht I wanted. Used them anyway. Then wishing I had bought smaller bolts to fix the grill. and headlight bezels. They have drywall screws in them now.

I had been stepping over this box on the step of the truck.PXL_20240531_123801727.jpg

I did order what I needed. My mind is like a steel trap. It is just stop open all of the time.
