Updates?
(Where’s the popcorn?)
:D

it's funny you posted, I almost posted last night.... after not having touched it in ages, I finished the tank straps over the last few days, and was gonna reinstall the tank today...

than i woke up to a monsoon all day.. :doah: tomorrow after pool hopefully...

i registered it a couple weeks ago.. cost me $406... :eek1: got stuck paying the couple yrs cuz i didn't turn the plates in... :doah:

I'll be driving it in a couple weeks.. I'll throw a few pics up tomorrow....

my homebrew press break worked slick on the straps...

Those registration fees are nuts. I've been driving my expired '99 F350 for 3 yrs and finally renewed it and it cost me the regular $78 annual fee. Anything older than 30 yrs can get antique plates that are $10/yr.

i know, my buds tell me all the time... after 30 yrs of waiting for vehicles to get to that magic 25 yrs, i don't have to worry about it anymore... since I don't need to inspect any of them, i wont bother.... would rather be unlimited than "QQ" plates and deal with possible other scrutiny.. mileage, ins, etc.. especially if i start working out of it...

i could have gotten $200 or so knocked off.. but i would need a letter from insurance saying i had taken it off.. not worth the weeks of waiting and a return trip.. i wanna drive the rig...

In CA you don't need to surrender the plates but you need to register non operating for I think $18 then you don't need to pay registration until you want to drive it again but you need to pay it before the renewal date or you owe that year

Good to see you back at it!

thanks... :D had to suck it up, fight thru the pain, and get back at it...

recovered from the second hernia surgery well enough in nov/dec.. but over the last 3 to 6 months, longer on the left, my shoulders have gone completely down the toilet.. both are in constant pain, all day every day.. my neighbor gave me boxes of the good lidocane patches, but i don't think they help much..

i swear i'm gonna tie my wrists to my belt when i sleep.... :haha:sleeping on my belly with hands over my head destroys them.. i try not to, but.... not a fan of sleeping on my back.. i wake up in agony...

supposed to do some mri's and talk to the surgeon, but i can't afford it till later in the yr.. my plan b ran out with the hernia surgery, so i gotta wait till it renews in oct..... probably looking at surgery on the worse one next winter, if the surgeon thinks it'll help.... the x-rays said heavy arthritis, collapsing joints, bone spurs, and the general doc said, yeah, an mri may reveal some rotator cuff issues too....

steroid shots don't do anything anymore.. praying i can make it thru the season at the torture pit..

also very concerned this is career ending, surgery or not.. i need an exit plan, but am at a loss....

Yep, it's on my mind big time. I got a bad rotator cuff on the left side now, had the right one repaired in 2014. It hurts to do anything anymore. Needing health insurance is forcing me to keep working until 65. Need an exit plan that you can live with...it is hard coming to grips with the fact that you can't do things you used to. I'm not giving up but the pain keeps pushing back and the older I get the more I want to throw in the towel.
