Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

hmmm, i'm leaning back to the chevy now.. see, all that chrome will be black on either version.. it's really just what that center section is...

I'm actually thinking it may be easier to add just a bit of gray to the center section of the chevy one.. whereas that would be tough on the GMC...

basically I'll have an all satin black grill/'bezel/surround with some dark gray in the headlight bezels, and some highlight sections of the center grill...

hmmm, maybe a chevy logo in the Ryoken Red.... :pimp:

sweet.. I'll have to think about the grill deal....

hmmmm, how would you feel about replicating that bumper?

One more for ya. Grille and Bezels I painted and repaired a bunch of cracks in em. My letters were pretty hammered too I took em off and tried to replicate the finish on them with little success.

Still want to put the letters back on but this is how the Jimmy looks for now

that's all the encouragement I need! :haha:

see if I can work a bit of OT to cover the stupid price of it... :doah:

I need a bunch of new light lenses on the rig.. I see LMC has new turn signal ones up front, which i need bad...

but my sidemarker lights in the fenders are in even worse shape, practically falling apart.. I see they have these upgraded blingy clear ones at LMC, was wondering if anyone had em, or has seen em? they look like they could be cool, unlike clear taillights imo... I don't see stock full amber ones anywhere...

Go for the blingy ones :deal:
I have the full LMC setup headlights, markers, and turnsignals. It really gives the truck a needed updated look without the annoying blue HIDs or flashy LEDs. Not to mention the headlights are brighter and have a wider beam too. With these headlights you won't need to do the relay mod. I did and my headlights are BLINDING. Its like daytime in front of my truck. Its a clear white beam, not yellow or blue at all.

i really do like the 2 color lense look... I would wanna paint the chrome trim black tho...

One more for ya, not the best pic but I love the GMC grill blacked out...

When it was first painted..

Thats a good idea :waytogo:

The bulbs are amber so it still blinks amber.

just trying to imagine how it would be with black trim around it.. i think with my orange it might set them off well, I may try it.. they look perfect on your rig, but the splash of chrome looks good on yours.....

I just think the all black is a bit much on the grill, I think a bit of argent silver or dark gray would help break it up a bit.. keep it subtle tho..

tho a Ryoken Red chevy emblem would certainly stick out like a mofo... hmmm, maybe the GMC lettering, but change that factory red on em to the Ryoken Red....

thats what I'm doing.... GMC grill... all blacked out like Kerts...

but I'm thinking of doing the center slat section behind the GMC in some dark gray.. and definitely doing the GMC lettering in my red...

it's just a better looking/shaped grill than my chevy imo...
