My vote would be to leave the GMC emblem completely stock.

rain day, gonna see about doing it today... I'm gonna do the emblem too if I get time.. and have hardener....

Sorry I just think black trim looks tacky and half-ased even when its done correctly.

Can't wait to see it on the truck! Truthfully, the grills on these trucks look so good that no matter how you do it it will look good!
black's still a bit glossy, I'll knock it down a bit with a rag and compound at some point...
oh, and I'm thinking about putting the whole bezels in black and just having the center grill the charcoal.. it's a little "busy" with em charcoal around the lights...

yeah, I'm definitely doing that... I'm also going to paint the flats behind the emblem flat black, like the letters..

The real question though, are your steering wheel emblem and grill emblem different brands now?
yup....
I'll get around to it... ummm, yeah, that was LMC.... $200 or so + shipping, for the left/right bezels, center and emblem.. freakin emblem was almost as much as the center section....
i also got new side marker lenses to put in the fenders... gonna pick up some roof marker lenses at some point.. this weekends project will hopefully be going thru my doors and getting them sealed up with new felts, etc..
