eh, as childish as it looks, it helps my cranium perceive WTF I'm considering... :doah: :haha:

Looks like you need to convert to SRW hubs up front? What is the width of the wheels?

I thought the same thing, should look pretty sweet when done. :thumb:

thanks..

I actually think the photochopped kert tire/rim is small for the rig.. I think it's gonna look a fair amount stouter than that ms pic..

hopefully I'll have tires mounted and slung under it before x-mas.. that's the plan anyway... :haha:

I'm pretty revved on how I think the outcome will look.. but ya never truly know till it's staring ya in the face... :doah:

yup.. on the list... probably feb if I can swing it.. before the tool boxes.. get the rig/stance level, yada.. I'll be changing the front 4" springs out in the snow beforehand.. :haha:

rim width, I actually haven't even checked.. kert could answer.. the front appear to be a bit narrower.. I'm gonna guess, 9 off the top of the head... 10 on the backs.. i'll verify tomorrow/this weekend..

Tube bed is coming along great :thumb:

Sorry if I missed it in here. Are you going to be running taller lift springs with the 37s?

nope, eggsellent question, prolly didn't mention it.. :waytogo:

about 6"s, as opposed to 4".. that's what the fronts going in are.. and what the net is in the back or so apparently..

gotta say, the rear springs are freakin stout and heavy duty... many leaves.. prolly gonna be good for when I actually haul a trailer, but I'm tempted to set it up with my flexy 56's, till that day happens..

but we'll see how that works out with weight, etc..... my 56's are also about 1/2 the springpack thichness too, so... my longer 6" x-tied shackles might be in order..

those are the questions I wanna answer over the next few weeks..

thus why I REALLY need to get rubber mounted up ASAP..

Are you running a stock front driveshaft now? I'm curious to know what changes you will have to make the move to 6 inches.

I know there is a million threads on lifts of all sizes, but most are so old now. They are also more applicable to wheeling rigs not street driven k30 work trucks.

yup, good question. 4" was pretty much no difference, just a bit more on the slip... 6" we'll see..

running the FUSH and ORD longer shackles...

but.. 4 wd is a bit down the road.. need to get 4.88's up front first.. the goal is to do that next fall, before winter.. run around in 2wd for the summer...

Let me know if you have a pair or 52s or 56s that are extra at the end of it all. I might take them off you for a future SAS is theyre scrap pile bound.

Ryoken's thought of the moment...

what's the minimum mudflap I can get away with and not piss off the po-po.... :dunno: :haha:

f*ck all that dammit! :haha:

I'd run none if I could... :pimp: I'm gonna try it with what I was running before on 33's and see how often I get pulled over...

or break windshields with gravel!!! :haha:

I'm just hoping the only reason I get pulled over is cuz the po-po think it's so badarse they wanna check it out... :haha:-

I don't know how much the laws vary by state but when I had to add mudflaps to my blazer I was told that the law said they had to hang down to the midpoint of the tire. Mine are a little short of that and I've never had a problem.

I'd guess that you'll be fine with those.

For what it's worth I think the right mudflaps actually look good on a truck like yours.

right, the proportion needs to be good.. too small, or too large can look goofy imo...

well, the Fijian's are gonna have to get their own damn custom 14 bolt! :haha:

they found my schtuff in port Elizabeth, it'll be here tomorrow....
