Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

how are the plow lights ? mount bolt/studs any good ? cracked housings ? let me know .

they are Meyers.. off, but haven't tested them yet.. he's supposed to drop the pump off...

Got the new torch to cut the dodge apart?

it was an excuse.. ;) this thing is hammered, it already paid for itself today.. my welding gas guy has had this kit for $350 foreva... i kept saying i was gonna buy it.. after a $1500 bonus and this showing up in the drive, it seemed like a sign to finally buy em... ;)

so, my drawer light idea is fighting me a bit... i really want to track mount the lights.... you stick them to the track, than mount the track....

much more stable app than trying to stick directly to the underside of the removable top panel, than going around the couple supports and panel mount tabs... it also allows me to use a clip-in diffuser lense... this eliminates the hotspoting of the LEDs...

the prob being, said supports, etc aren't allowing the tracks to mount up high enough due to the lense...... I'll figure sumfin out...

anyway.... I've also decided to use a combo of shrink tube and fabric wrap under that split loom for the harness.... next weekend I'll do that on the tubebed part and get going on the dash switches to relays part of the harness..

.

had the cummins running tonight... everything looked good, other than a sticky throttle........ maybe a clip this weekend if i don't chop it up....

started wrapping and looming the bed harness too..... got a full day with the rest of that wiring...

other than picking up 250 lb's of raw meat saturday, looking to bang a ton 0' chit out this weekend...

oh, drawer light psychosis has reached stooopid levels.... customs lenses, yada, nutjob, #last2.7%

question for my cummins brethren, ;) what are most guys running for radiators on this swap? i'm gonna use the stock intercooler.. the dudge rad looks huge! :eek1: tho I'm not crazy about the plastic end tanks...

Most people put the second gen radiator and shroud with the intercooler all fitted to our core support

If you dont want to modify the intercooler I'd run an aftermarket big block radiator. A nice dual pass Ron Davis like @AgDieseler put in his suburban would be perfect.

Just get a complete mahle kit. Mahle is the exact same gasket without the cummins part number put on it.

fram oil filter

but sounds good and smooth idle

trust me, I wouldn't use that cr@p..... ;) it's tight and responsive, as i would hope with 80 g's..... stuffs flying, just stopped up for a neEr... :pimp:

Looks like the Cummins shipping container is coming apart quickly

what dodge?
