Looks good. I like red on a cummins. It is a factory engine color on their newer stuff anyways. I like to do the tan engine with like a red oil pan and front cover and valve covers. Most of the lower stuff is covered up anyways but why not.
if i was gonna do red, i would have done my Ryo red...... but i actually think the tan will draw your eyes to it better... i thought it would be a bit matchy matchy in red with the firewall.. and i kinda feel that way about the pan too.. for looky lou's at the car shows... i hope i feel this way when done.. not something i'm ever gonna wanna change...
But I feel like my mental image so far for the rig has been pretty spot on aesthetically... other than my grill brainfart....
decided to pop the injectors and Engine Stor the cylinders since it's gonna sit a while.... trying to decide which tappet cover i want... $$$$ are tight right now... gonna start farting around with a KDP repair today hopefully....
oh, and i'm having an issue....

filing in at priority #63 is my undying passion for milled raised VC's.... it's one of those parts that i need like a hole in the head... serves no purpose other than looks... maybe someone will buy em for me for x-mas next yr..
AND I actually really hate Edelbrock versions of it, ESPECIALLY the air cleaners... but man, I can't help thinking those, done in Ryo red, or even black, with the tops milled back to alum, would look trick as he!! on top of the tan... especially if there's gonna be a splash of alum here and there in there, like a tappet cover, etc... possibly the intake horn in red, but that could be black too.. until i see it coming together in the space, it's hard for me decide which way to go.. I'll figure it out... bolt on's are easily color changed...
hmmmm, maybe it might be worth taking a couple hrs in paint to change some existing 6 BT engine compartment pics over to different color schemes...
coffee in hand, off to the now warm, LAB™ I go......
