Paul give us an update. I'm trying to run the budget for my shop when we sell our house. Trying to sneak a new compressor a lift and a blast cabinet into the budget.
How's this lasting?
Problems?
Anything you would change?
it works killer.... being the cab is so big, I definitely need another light at the other end, but I've been managing without, just kind of looking at it from one angle...
it could also use the 5 gal water filter too.... it works great for a while, but once the filter on the shop vac starts to clog up, not nearly as clear inside.... plus cleaning the vac at that point creates a dust cloud similar to the 20's dust bowl...
in the 1.5 yr's or so, I've changed media once, and changed tips a couple times.. the ceramic tips, albeit more delicate, definitely hold up better than the metals.. at one point I ate right thru the first metal one... but I've definitely used it a fair bit...
but as far as the initial construction I wouldn't change anything... very pleased with dimension capabilities... the side door has worked great.. the window lock thingy works great... the grate and subsequent small parts basket work awesome...
oh, the only other thing I will add is a little hook latch for that bottom door at some point... you really have to have the door for maintenance, changing media...
but on the odd occasion the siphon hose get's clogged with debri and the gun stops working, you have to backflush the system by putting your finger over the tip and backblowing thru the syphon tube into the hopper.... if you don't hold your foot under the door, it will pop open from this and media comes out...

I swear... I think back to the 35 yr's I spent hr's wirewheeling, sanding parts, etc and they still didn't come out super-clean raw, and realize JUST how beneficial this thing is...
