Ryoken's Guide to Rust Treatment and Bodywork 101

Use a prick punch to mark the hole and the bit will stay in place. Small hammer, sharp, solid hit. Should just create a simple not much larger than the bit.

It's the same concept...

I'd say a similar drill bit that you'd use to drill out a spot weld, but in the correct size for the trim.

Alternitive to carpet

I am just thinking the first thing I will need to do when I get the blazer is to put down carpet and I will want to put sound damper on the floor and in the doors.

I won't be able to install anything till the carpet is in.

I already planned on my interior for my 88 rebuild. I am putting in this stuff... I figure since I am moving to Vegas there will be a lot of dust.

They are not perfect fit, but with patience and a heat gun you can make them fit. Just don't do any trimming till you are absolutely sure you need to.
The instructions say to lay them out in the sun for a while to warm and soften, I suggest let them lay till they are hot and soft.

I think dremu just did a blue one in tankie. Not many problems, but chief is doing a true restoration so carpet it will be.

dang...hood hasn't even shipped yet...gonna push this back a week probably.
:doah:

trim should be in Wednesday so I can do a full fitting before they mark off the white stripe.

nah...I appreciate it but I already paid for it and they should be boxing it up

Got the set of trim in today...looks good, came with all the installation hardware.
Can't wait to so the N.O.S. pieces side by side with the repop to see if there is a noticeable difference.
Got to get them over to the body shop and pre-fit the trim pieces.
