Ryoken's Guide to Rust Treatment and Bodywork 101

I still wish I could have finished it myself, but look how many people are involved in this...amazing...one of these days I will go back and read through this whole thing again...but it seems like such a long time ago that it rolled off the truck and I started wondering what to do about those rust spots on the rails...

Putting the glass back in and getting the door and tailgate hardware in is going to be a big task...there's plenty more to do...

The only thing I am worried about now, is the first scratch..............

I am trying to come to terms with that myself...I am sure I will be the one who puts the first scratch on it...probably installing door components...

When I first looked at the pictures my eyes went WOW!

Like you said it has been primer for so long...you just get used to seeing it that way. What a transformation!

Congrats Chief Looks fantastic! :waytogo:

Your neighbors won`t believe it!

Nice! Now, how long till it's back together so we can nominate it for GMOTM? :D

The outside should be back together fairly quickly...I just won't be able to show pics of the inside...

Should have trim and bumpers on shortly

Got to get the seats upholstered...don't know how long that will take.

It was not ready to pick up today...maybe tomorrow or Wednesday.

What's the best thing to use to fill the hollow back of a fender emblem and quarter badge? :dunno:

the stuff I dug out of the Cheyenne emblems was like tar...maybe what they called dum-dum

yup... oldschool, soft, dum dum tape... we used to go thru rolls of it at the collision shop....

What do you do...just mash it in there until it is level? :dunno:
