I know it's not much, but here it is with the fender emblems finally on.

That truck looks amazing man. How'd you go about attaching the emblems?

I loaded the back with "dum-dum" and used barrel nuts. I got them pretty flush...they aren't as tight as having speed nuts on the back but they are so close not many will be able to tell.

I chose to use the barrel nuts because I was not about to remove the hood and fenders again...:doah:

I think I am going to have to do custom sparkplug wires...I can't get the set I got to look right and even...not sure they are the correct set though...they may all be universal now for these old trucks...
I would like the wires to look neat and uniform.

Emblems look awesome! I hear ya on the custom wires. That's the only way to get them right. And they aren't any more expensive, it's just that you need to buy a crimper. And those I think are $30 or less? So certainly the best way to go.

I am itching to get some photos, but we are in mid winter and the scenery is NOT pretty in Alabama in the winter....not kidding...just a lot of brown with a few evergreens...

I am going to ask a custom wire question in the garage

You may have noticed that I have the drivers side door window rolled up...

I had to use a wooden yardstick to push the bottom of the glass outward in order to get the glass in the front track

Will the door weatherstripping fix this or is there something I forgot to do inside the door??? :dunno::dunno::dunno:

just get some crimpers, a universal set and go to town.. only way to get a neat look..

What'd you do there close up to the manifold?

My manifold burned a wire in half....you don't even have those asbestos sleeves on those..

ohhhh and that's what those bolt "plugs" are for on my new manifolds....fuel injection. :doah:

they're just 45 degree boots.. but the Taylors, and MSD too, give you some pretty quality boots.. they've been there 2 yr's with no issues... it's easy to get a good route when your cutting them to length..

that's A.I.R tubes off the manifold for the smog pump, not EFI related..

Just wondering how you got them to stand straight out like that away from the maniold

just ran those 2 wire, Maid For You seperators on each pair about 6"s out, works great...

What gauge is the spark plug wire I will buy, and will the old Corvette rubber wire separators work for me...trying to keep the look oem

stock where generally 7.. pretty chincy, but it'll work..

mine are 8's, and most performance wires will be at least 8 or 8.5... just looks better too, tad more beef.. you can get 10 and 10.4 too for big hp apps too.....

most of the time seperators can take 8's.. if they wont stretch/bend to take it, you can usually ream em out a tad with a drill bit...

Do you just eyeball the length of each one or do you have the lengths measured out and have them written down for future reference?
