off road DIRECT...the other ORD...linky :D

Yea it shouldnt be called ord, its offroad direct, the kit is there for 01-07 2500hd, its 649.00 plus ubolts, brakelines, panard, shocks etc. If you bought the extras elsewhere there around the same price.

Your saying you like that idea..?...lol. I think it would be better than leafs, i just will need brakelines and the tone ring kit.

When i talked to jim that makes the parts he said it takes longer to clean up the frame and cut the brackets off that it does to do the kit. Ill prob go this route instead of leafs, he also said since ill be using my steering for me to measure the heigth from the axle tube to the top of the steering arm and he will make the trac bar mount to that so thats one less thing to do. So the trac bar and the steering are the same angle or real close.

I seen this(pics below) and spoke to jim cole(owner) and its just as much as leafs shipped to me. Any ideas or comments on this..?..He said he can give me longer coils so the 37s clear nice. That about 1.5 lower that i have, that would be good then i can remove my rear block thats 5.5 and either use a 4inch one or buy a shackle flip.

I keep also hearing that the ord kit with superduty springs rides harsh and has a terrible shackle angle, im looking more into that also since coils is alot more work. To do leafs ill have to remove the lower control arm mount, to do the coils i have to remove it all. Which is alot more time cleaning and painting but it should drive alot nicer...

Help me out, much appreciated......

Oh, I like that...:thumb:

I bought the coil spring kit 2day, without the steering or the shocks. I bought 5125 bilsteins(2 per side) that are valved for dual shocks. Ill have ord crossover, np241c with new style shifter, 1.5 wheel spacers up front and 2.0 wheel spacers in the rear. Ordered russel brakelines with the fittings, the gasket for the 241,slip yoke seal and the pigtail for the wiring.

Might not get to do the whole project till early next month, ill have all the parts tho so when it comes time its ready. The coil kit should take a week to make and a week to be shipped.

Parts are coming from oregon...2 weeks for them.... The rest of the parts ill have this week sometime.

Mee tooo...lol....better than leafs, i should drive real nice. I can wait to get started on it.

Everything is here except for the coil kit, waiting on that yet...will be starting on it in 2 or 3 weeks i hope.

Ill get to the pics...lol......soon. Ill take em all when the kit comes in.

I didn't read the whole thread

you got me excited when you said you had a 79 D60 but you might use a D44,

I have a 79 D44 and have been looking for a D60 for 4 years, I will drive it up to you if you want to swap, I am dead serious.
