sas on 2003 2500hd

Second day, another 10 hour day.

1st pic , i aligned the coil buckets on the center line, bolted and stitch welded them in. Then i bolted and welded the shock mounts in. Should of been just bolted but the holes were in places that i could never get a nut on.

2nd and 3rd pic. Here is the abs kit, the hubs were machined to .0015 so the fit nice and super snug sweated with red loctite. The abs sensor mount block was welded to the caliper mount and is set .010 from the sensor to tone ring.

And..........nothing fits right and all of it has to be modified to work......but no big deal on that one.

Damn that looks great already! And as for this,

In a very joking manor i say, DUH! lol sorry. I feel your pain. None the less, good work! Keep it up!

Wont know till my axle brackets are fully welded then i can jack it up. should be 4-5 up but wont know, they look closer than they are. Even in petersons they are real close but flex real well. It still has to be 1.5 taller for the truck to be level so ill do it in the morning, my tall jack stands dont go any taller. Remember with the heims on the radius arm ends it will flexand twist rather well.

It should be alot close and prob even on its wheels tomarrow, my h2s dont fit the hubs so ill have to do a little trimming, the hub itself all the way on the wms has a larger lip than on my other 60. Prob use a lil bit and hog em out some so they fit nicely. Im thinking it should be good and the tires wont rub without spacers but ya never know...

Quick question, how much further can you up travel before the radius arms hit the frame?

In all my antics I cant say mine ever have, I know they travel flat under the frame, but that little movement = a whole lot on the wheel side when the arm is 3 feet long.

And Rob I hope you are enjoying lifting those things up to mock them in place:haha: Jeeeeus they are heavy!

I personally welded my frame brackets on, just tack them real well or with a small weld and once you have it on its weight and you are sure its all in the right spot burn them in.

Sorry i didnt get a chance to call you today, tooo much going on, maybe tom afternoon. My frame brackets i bolted with 6 bolts and stitch welded em.. There was 2 of us doing it so it was nice having a good welder and a nice garage with all the tools, if it wasnt for that and a good friend of mine it woulda never been possible.

Heres from today the 3rd 10 hour day.........lol

Needs the draglink measured, the bung welded in, brakelines bent, stainless soft lines hooked up, calipers hung and the shocks are on the outside of the radius arms, im moving em to the top of the radius arm then when i turn the tires wont hit em. That way i can have the tires under the flares. The stock centercaps ill cut with a 4inch hole saw so the lil red hub will stick thru.

Without the coils jacking it up from ride heigth to full bump straight on its a lil over 4.5 inches, but jack up one side i can get over 8. So it comes out pretty good. The springs are super soft tho, not sure how stiff there supposed to be, i hope the dual shocks on each side help that alot or these springs wont work. With out the shocks you can push down on the front so we will see..................lol

In the pic the jack was being lifted as a joke so its isnt that high... The fender heigth is at 49.5, the rear is 48.5 so hopefully it settles some.

There they are! Funny timing... Looking great! Is that with the axle moved forward 1"? Is that going to be enough you think?

Nope dead center, i want the tire centered so it can't rub the bumper, Yea springs are soft.....Is what going to be enough..?

I had thought you had moved the axle centerline 1" forward and was asking if you thought that just the 1" was enough. Sounds like center is going to work out good then eh?

Yea i think so i guess we will see. I can still move it ahead another 3/4 if needed.

How much are you askin, funds are low for atleast 2 weeks....which sucks. Im glad i had all the parts already, the wheel spacers i might sell or use them atleast on the rear.

Ahhh...the black dial would look better i guess....lol

send me a pm with offer.

dont wana get in trouble in public. :doah:

i just hate to see a good gm pimpin ford red stuff on a clean install.

ok....sounds good.......i think it did come out good so far, just curious how it will drive.

These are so soft that you can bounce the front of the truck......i really hope shocks kill some of that
