Man door in.

This is all I can get done on my other garage door. By myself.

Head hurts too much to do ladder work.

Soon I will be enclosed though which is awesome

Nice progress Eric, fully enclosed shop is going to be life changing man.

That blue crew would be a great project for someone looking for an unmolested rig to start from, plus 454 and manual, what's not to like?

Sometimes working is fustrating. Went to put the other panels on the garage door. Yah I didn't put the bottom panel in. The one with the nice weatherstripping.

Tried to jockey the door around. Bent a hinge.

After that we just disassembled the door and started over. Trying to get my buddy over here to help me finish one of the doors before Christmas, but you know right before Christmas soo probably not gonna happen.

It's all good though I only have 1 2 foot panel to put on. So even if it snows a decent amount should keep most of it out

looking great Eric....and YES, once you get it buttoned up and some heat going, you'll be in lala land, just no sippin fruity drinks ok?

A question?

I need to build stud walls to hang OSB and sheetrock on and for additional insulation.

16" center or 24" center and why.

Remember these do not support the roof at all. This is a pole barn.
If using OSB. Go 16 on center but stagger them. 6" sills with 4" studs. Wrap the insulation under every other stud. Keeps solid wood transfer from outside to in down to almost 0, for the best insulation. And same with sound.... But it gives you 32" centers for inside mounting studs.

I'm actually pretty much at zero transfer anyway. It's a pole barn and I already have a layer of 1" foam insulation. My inner stud walls won't touch the girts.

I'm working on making sure that everything is decoupled. Stud walls will be decoupled by just how they are built with some strategically placed foil type insulation. Sheet rock and OSB will be the same.

Oh and figuring out costs. The extra cost of doing 16" center studs will be made up in insulation cost. So 16" centers it is
