Shorty the crewcab. (Been saved from the chopping block)

81 CC short bed conversion
Shit my kids mostly all sleep in a pile in front of the downstairs tv anyway now that school is out. I coulda built one great big closet for all their stuff and no bedrooms and been just fine.
Should have just built a one bedroom with a huge garage. And then put a wall tent up for them out back.
Give you and the Mrs have peace and quiet to make more.

I am not sure if I have room for one in my garage though.Might have to get delegated to the RV pad and just move the trailer and do certain projects out there. I have 11' ceilings in my garage. I have thought about possibly attaching a beam to the trusses running the length of my long bay that way I could at least lift and go forward and backward inline with the vehicle just without side to side.

Here's the build on it

Easily adjustable design.

One of these would be handy but I'm sure it's only ever once in a while you have to move sideways with a load on it. https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Trolley-Gantry-Crane-Hoist/dp/B01LWQ2K7A

I've found that if the gantry is slightly off level (floor, pad, driveway, etc) your load will try and go down hill on you lol. I want the clamp style that stays in one place.

I know it's not a perfect world but if your shop floor is level it's not a problem.
Guess you have to get a powered one with drive wheels.

I'm getting a gas proof sealant and running a self tapper through it. Fock it. It's only gotta last until I shorten it. Then it'll get blazer tank between the rails or a fuel cell.

My extra 2 lines, the vent and return, won't be used. Will normal vacuum line caps work there? If not I'll get line and make proper plugs.

It came from a super nice 86 2wd that had nearly no rust. You can tell from the pics that it's in way better than normal condition. The inside looked the same. :dunno:

But it leaked. ...? Don't get it, not changing it. IF I can fix it. Not sure what I'm doing now. Might just buy the blazer tank and do that now instead of later.
