eh... run the 2 sets... keep whatcha got for street.. and get some boggers for the trail running
well thats one thing i dont like either....my tires i have now suck on the street...they`re steel belted radials, they suck when they`re cold, especially on the highway(the seem to wonder a bit)....and i`d rather go with the 12.5s

thats why i considered just getting the m/ts...because i do go offroading more than twice a year....this will be the 3rd time i`ve gone in 5 months...but i think with me only putting around 10k a year on my truck, i can sacrifice the extra wear put on the m/ts from the street...even though i`ve heard that people have gotten decent miles with them (30-60k)

Before you shell out any $$$ on BFG's, the Cooper MT's are as good or better for less. A lot of guys here in OK have had terrible probs w/ sidewall carnage on the BFG's. Stay away from pro crap, and I'm personnaly not excited by the seamingly short tread life of trxus MT's on a heavy full size. Oh yeah, I run Goodyear MTRs, and they are really good tires. Maybe not the best in the soup, but what true MT is?

What's wrong with you people, has anyone recomemded Ground hawgs? Hard rubber for on street milage and second best to the bogger in the mud. THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT!

All I have to say is I run BFG's 33" and KO T/A'S I Love them Best On Road and off yet I did discover a couple of things I did not like this year about them. Blazer Bash taught me that they are not the Grippeyest suckers when aired down, as this was evadent by the churping all day up and down Hells In the Rain and twelve foot deep wholes we were drivin through. Also there was the Sliding sideways as we were hanging off a fin 200ft in on Hells, I guess it was not as bad as it felt but my point is I love this tire but it has some grip issues. Thanx and enjoy your new set up

Well then how about getting Mickey Thompson MTZs? I think I want those tires to replace my BFG A/Ts when I where them down even more.

I have a good friend with 33" pro-comp x terrains on his heep. They have worn very quickly on the road. and the heep does not come close to the weight of a FSC.
same thing happend to my friend in his brand new dodge heavy duty... he had the 35x12.50r17 and the back right blew out on his way to new mexico. cost him a pretty penny.:doah: :doah: :doah:
the exhaust was clamped up do to the tire ripping off and slamming the truck into the pavement... nice big ol dent:doah:

well, gentlemen, i think i have made my decision...thanks to steve kibbe, and anyone else who recommended running two sets of tires....

i can get 33x12.5 tsl`s for 156 a piece:eek1: ....sounds like a plan:D

then i will sell my tires i have now, or do a partial trade, and get some good a/ts
sounds great... but i just wanted to tell you that you could run some 37's for only 199 a piece.:eek1: www.ntwonline.com is having a sale on dc fc-II's. idk about the tire... but thats a hell of a deal. i wish i would've know about it before i shelled out $350 per tire in that size:eek1: :doah:

The Ground Hawgs? Wow. I may be spoiled. I paid $178 a piece for my 35" Goodyears from Wally World, 4WP wanted like $ 220 per tire, but that was a year and a half ago. 4WP seems quite proud of ther tires.

well, i think i can deal with the noise, mine are pretty loud now, i like them to hear me coming:D

does 185 a piece sound too much?

Hawgs! super hard rubber compound which means lotsa milage, loud on the road, 2nd only to boggers in the mud.

Oh yea i forgot all about hawgs. awesome mud tire, seems like almost all the mud dragsters run them on the front. My brother had a set of 44's on his 79 F-350, his boss was the previous owner and had installed them.

Those tires must've been on that truck for like 10 years and still looked like brand new when my brother eventually sold the truck. If you can get past the noise and bumpyness then they would be great.
