I'm selling my mom's "baby" which is now at a crucial time in it's life. This unique gem has been sitting outside since 2010 and needs some new love. Every year I charge the battery, put new gas in, and drive it 5-10 miles. It runs and drives well, but probably could use a tune-up!
I am going to post lots of pictures and be completely honest about the rust which has begun to set in. I have the original sales paperwork and only just recently titled in my name only to allow the sale. Loaded from the factory, my mom drove this daily from 1984 until 2009. If you have questions I will answer them on this forum to the best of my ability. I will take photos of specific areas for serious potential buyers. NO TRADES please, I have enough toys and hobbies to last a life-time.
Here are all of the details I can think of but you probably already went to the photos!
THE GOOD STUFF:
THE "NOT-SO GOOD" STUFF
Well that is all I can think of for now, I'm sure there will be questions...
$6,600
I can deliver this baby on a trailer, anywhere in the western half of the US for $2.50 a mile.
NO TRADES please, I have enough toys and hobbies to last a life-time. NO SCAMMERS and overseas military buyers with "agents" who will come take away the Blazer. Don't waste your time scammers, this is Cash or Cashier's Check from a reputable bank, which will be deposited and verified. No Crypto, I think that ship has sailed.

Here are all of the details I can think of but you probably already went to the photos!
THE GOOD STUFF:
- Ordered new from Con Paulos in Jerome, ID (2-23-84)
- Delivered, as I recall, with a 305, because my mom/dad wanted a manual transmission and Chevy did not offer the 350 except in automatic (boo)
- My father was a professional mechanic for 35 years and swapped the 305 to a 350 (I was 17, and this is how I recall it all)
- As you will see from the original sale sheet: 4-speed, yes with granny low (just like 82 his pickup). 3.73 gears, FACTORY A/C (see below), tilt wheel, cruise control (see below), 31 gallon tank, skid plates, locking rear diff (which we can only assume is like a posi-trac, because this is not an on-demand locker by today's standards. I know for a fact the rear-end was replaced later in life.
- Odometer reads 11,327 which I guarantee has rolled over at least one time, but beyond that I do not know.
- Factory spare tire rack inside
- Never off-roaded to the best of my knowledge, my mom was not that type., maybe just camping and Idaho snowy roads.
- The white top has never been off. My dad was not a fan of that, including Broncos I purchased and did it anyways

- Original bill-of-sale is included, along with owners manual, Chevy Blazer brochure, original casette player in a box
- Two-speed floor-shift transfer case, with high/low range
- Power windows and doors, which again, brings us to the "see below"
THE "NOT-SO GOOD" STUFF
- PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOS of the pockets of rust setting in. There wasn't room to park this gem indoors when mom passed away, so it has sat outside.
- Factory A/C was unplugged so I plugged it in and ran it. I added one can of R-12 (yes, you are reading that right), and it cooled right off to 66, see the photo. However, after a few minutes on a hot day the belts started to squeal so I think it may need a new compressor. I unplugged the unit but was glad to see it still works and blows cold air (also, 110 PSI on the low-side while resting (static) tells me the unit has not been evacuated nor leaking, which is good news for the future owner.
- All the POWER windows need TLC and possibly new motors/lube. The driver-side window does not go down, so I can only assume it might not go up either. The passenger-side window does go up/down but very very slowly.
- The rear power tailgate window starts to go down ok, but catches up on something near half-way.
- The rear seat is intact, fold up and out of the way as it should, but something seems to missing, as it doesn't appear to sit quite right in the "normal" sitting position.
- A couple of other small things, the glove box doesn't "catch" when open (everything wants to fall out). The center console "catch" popped out, so it wants to open all the way every time (this is a small plastic cable/catch).
- The fiberglass top is intact and looks nice, but the fiberglass is going to need some love soon.
- I tried the cruise-control yesterday and it did not appear to work. Could be a fuse, not sure. I rarely use cruise and don't believe in auto-driving cars, ha ha
- The gas "door" doesn't want to stay shut, kinda just hangs there in limbo, see photos
- The dash was always covered with the ugly carpet "dash mat" (my opinion), but it did an ok job... still has the sticky tape though, and obvious cracks.
Well that is all I can think of for now, I'm sure there will be questions...
