That was fast! Must of been in good shape and good price
Not really. Various bits are in need or restoration. Might be in good enough condition to be a daily driver, and the one thing that's a bit different about this one is how the prior owner added a fiberglass lip all around the roof so that it overlaps the walls and the rainwater can go down the wall sides instead of pool in the flat area where the roof ordinarily sits. Utterly dumb original design of Chinook's not to overlap the walls. That was fast! Must of been in good shape and good price
Chalet #1539, been for sale for years in that area, ever since 2008 when it was first listed on a Cars dot com ad for $2650 in pretty much the same condition. Hard to pin down if it's been the same seller the whole time. In a June 2018 Craigslist ad, the seller was only asking $5800, while the ebay listing for it a month later only went up to $6850.I don't know, all these people keep saying original then they start enumerating the things that have been changed. And the condition of this one and he wants 10k
Haven't yet gotten a response from the seller as to which serial number this one is.

How much does that front spare tire mount w/ tire impact cooling? Im guess not an issue during winter months, but during summer in hot climate is that an issue?

Yup, I coudln't do a thing to figure out which one it was with just the one single pic they first put online, but now there's a bunch more. Took me a while to find the time to look this one up in my pile of references. It's Chalet #0653, built in 8/76....out of 10 pix, none of it up....
