Start work on my efi install

Why? Popping on decel? It's a fuel conservation feature that you can adjust (add a % of fuel back in).

it cuts fuel to save it bad part is until it starts pumping full again you cant accelerate, let me find the vid and ill link it

i think its cutting to much fuel on decell, what is happening is go from 65 to 35 and it take a sec before it will go again.
if you stop from that speed it tries to stall. just have to play with it like the vid^^ up there

Haven't had that issue on any of the cars. You need to give the EFI a chance to learn before messing with too much.

just going to lesson the fuel cut a bit, and i need to move the heater hoses off the fuel filter there sitting on it.

The accel pump settings are for the bog, not the fuel cut. I saw a video last week from FiTech about it.

I understand I'm not dealing with GM stuff, but maybe they programmed them with similar functionality?

GM had a fuel decel cutoff setting that was based on throttle position (TPS), MPH, and engine RPM.

If you have those parameters available for fuel cutoff, maybe they can be adjusted to keep it from having that issue? Although a second is a long time in the scheme of EFI, that might be too much "lag" to tune around.

I can't view the vids now, but why don't the injectors just shut off? There should be no "pumping up" required, the regulator should just bypass all pumped fuel until the injectors start flowing again.

IME decel fuel cutoff is worth a 10% bump in economy if you drive right.

posted a vid on how to just havent done it jet taking the day to catch up on neglected house work and laundry

Adjusted those settings but still needs cut fuel settings

is your truck an manual? I'm not sure why you're so concerned with the decel unless your engine braking and don't like the popping through the exhaust.

@dyeager535 yes the system in similar for the fuel cut, it uses rpm and tps reading from what I've gathered.

when you decel it would almost stall out, when trying to go just after decel no go. fuel is being cut too much have to adjust according to fitech.

sounds like an idle return setting (need to add time), not a decel setting.

PS- I hope you are at full operating temp before making any adjustments, otherwise you're digging a hole for yourself.
