Comp 1.82 Aluminums. I was going to go with the Chromoly full rollers but apparently they discontinued them within the last 2 weeks since I looked. The comp aluminums are guaranteed for life apparently.
Theyre $500 for a set. I dont think any LS full roller rockers are "cheap" w/o being ****.
That is the same conclusion I ran into, they have some Chinese ones on ebay but I really don't want to run those. 
So how much do you have wrapped up in this engine and how much power do you think it'll make?

I'll probably have $5000 into it. It should make 500-550hp all under 6500rpm, good torque, and get 20mpgs.

Definitely do not run the Chinese ones. I saw another post where a few people have broken them. My crane roller tipped one have been going ten years and still no problems.

I did order LS2 lifter trays and LS7 lifters. And a bought a horn and different shifter stick for the truck. Im going to the Super Chevy Show in Richmond this weekend so we'll see if I find a good deal on anything. I would love to find out trick flow is there and come home with heads

Well the super Chevy show was cool but man was it small. Seems like they just took n outlaw 1/8 mile track day and had a car show and vendors there. Was fun though, apparently my wife likes to watch the drags... Who knew.

New shifter stick. Not sure what its from but I cut it and angled it to the driver and gave it some more setback yesterday. It was still a little far away and a little too close so a little bit of torch action and the thing is perfect now. Much better than the old one laying on the seat.
I also got my 12v air horn hooked up. Man that ****s loud.

Man after looking at pictures of my interior I need to paint that **** like no ones business...
More house time this weekend w/ my parents coming down I'll be swamped. I am planning on getting my hood properly fitted to the truck. I need to get some glass and fill the front lip solid so I can grind it down and get the front lowered. Probably going to take a skim coat of bondo on the fenders too.
Now that I really thing of it this hood fits terrible lol.

Another weekend at the house coming up... Following weekend I should be working on the truck. I started fitting the hood tonight. Amazing how out of whack having an extra 1/4in on the front lip makes things... I filled it with glass chop/resin the other day so it was solid, ground it down tonight. Damn hood almost fits!
Ordered up hood pins since the hood has too much flex in it to hold the proper shape Needs to be pinned on one side but not there other, guess I have no choice. At least I got black ones!
Also ordered an SLP underdrive pulley for the motor. Im gonna make one of the three big purchases in a week or two. I'll be ordering the heads. Only other large purchase after that for the motor is the fast intake and TB weighing in at a whopping $1500 for a ****ing intake setup... Ow my butt. Still need a remanned trans later too.

Well some closed course testing at the track (aka the joisey turnpike) at 100+ had some wobble in the front corner of the hood.
I had bought pins anyway because the one corner needed to be held down for alignment issues so I put them on today. Came out nice, I made a bonehead move and put them on but forgot I wanted to adjust my hood gap a little more Guess I'll have to elongate the holes side to side and gel coat over some of the plate screw holes later on. Stupid hasty me... They do look good though.
I had to weld the nut to the rad support because it was a blind hole.

I really like what you got going here. This thing will be a beast. All your work is top notch, I do kinda miss the Isuzu, but new home new truck and 1.5 million other things in life make the priority list shift.

I appreciate it. I wouldnt consider my work "top notch" but I certainly try to do it to the best of my ability and experience.
So terribleish news. I took the truck to my cousins wedding yesterday in Nyack NY which is about 180 miles round trip give or take. Truck ran great. Me and the wife had a good time just cruisin and blasting by some slow ass people. Im 3 blocks from my parents house when the truck wants to die at an idle. I think **** guess I burnt another plug wire. Go to the shop tonight, no burnt plug wires, changed the wire anyway, pulled the plug, nothing wrong with spark. Pull the number 8 wire while its running and its like nothing happened.
Popped the valve cover and checked for a broken valve spring, no dice. Shoved the boroscope down #8 and much to my dismay it looks like Ive got a cracked piston... Im not calling it final yet but the truck is running like crap and rather then invest more time in it Im going to just make a push to get the 5.3 in.
Ordering the heads for the end of the week. Maybe intake setup a couple weeks after. Still have quite the list of **** I need.
