Stomis' 94 Street Truck - Snail Trail

Well Im not sure if the pictures do it justice but heres the skinnies with .75 spacing out.

Its a serious night and day difference to me and my buddy shane said the same thing.

much better, I've always liked the full wheelwell look, and somtimes the cars that have a narrowed rear that'll fit 14x32's and only have a 10.5x29 under there look odd.

i just changed a few months ago a set of headers that were wrapped . they were on a street drivin vehicle and after few years worse than swiss cheese .

but you prob know this and have different plans .

No I dont actually.

Im on the other side of that discussion. We've had it a few times on here, including in gregs build. Ive found that if you properly prep and paint the headers prior to wrapping theres really no issue. I think all the internet horror stories stem from people that have rusty headers and decide to try to cover them up by wrapping them. These headers have been wrapped for about a year and there was 100% nothing wrong with it when I unwrapped it to modify it. Granted I havent driven the truck much but my old flatbed had wrapped headers on it for 12 years or so before I took them off. Yeah they were on their way out but even ceramic coating goes after that amount of time, plus they were cheapo headers.

Im not super concerned because Im going to need to go to a 1-7/8 header anyway when I move up to a 408. Those headers will obviously also need to be modified and at that point I think since they should be a long term header I will send them out to be heat coated, and then I will wrap them. Theres just something about the engine bay being so f'ing cold after hours of running that I like.

Got the ECU relocated and some wiring cleaned up. Passenger side floor.

Wires tucking through the firewall.

Im sorta at a loss with sealing this hole now. Anyone have any ideas? Theres too much passing through to really use an aluminum plate again. I was thinking of using some sort of seal like the putty they use to seal the evaporator lines to the firewall/air box. Any ideas? Or maybe some sort of product Im unaware of?

I agree, people buying cheap headers looking for an excuse.

I had wrap on my monte SS for years and never had an issue.

It's funny how you haven't even driven this setup yet and you are already planning to swap it out for more hp, you got the bug! :thumb:

No doubt thats for sure. I mean the 408 Im going to build is gonna be bat shit crazy. It should definitely get some "wait seriously, thats an NA LS?" comments.

Got the hood refit and the hood pins adjusted. Hood fits better now than it ever did...

Ive also got an order into summit for new lighter front coils, stainless brake lines, wheel spacers for the front, and a line lock since I replumbing the front brakes anyway. Next side job or spare cash from a sale I get Im ordering my glass bumper.

Do you plan to weigh it? I'm curious what it weighs now.
It's gonna take a ride across the scrap scale that's about it.

I don't expect it to be crazy lite. Probably somewhere around 3400 pounds.

There's a lot of weight I could lose in the bed. I just didn't want to open that can of worms. Plus I've got to put about 50 lbs into it with a cage.
