1989 v1500 suburban. Barn Find
I drove the truck to work for 2 weeks straight after replacing the MAF sensor. Just to see if the problem was going to come back. After driving it without any issues i figured it was time to take it on a short little camping trip out of town. The campground was about 100 miles from the house. The truck drove great. Even found a few dirt back roads to cruise down. I cant get over how smooth this truck drives down dirt roads covered with washboards and potholes. I put about 350 miles on it that weekend. 139785210_4352945991387622_6756788313889477867_o.jpg

I'm still planning out the light package I want to run on this rig. Ive always had off road lights on all my rigs and over the years, Ive tried different brands, patterns and style of lights. My last suburban had a pretty amazing forward light setup, but it lacked scene lighting for camping. So for this rig I want to have a good overall coverage of light but I also don't want a billion lights hanging off this thing. We did some driving at night during the last camping trip. When I got back I decided I needed something besides the stock Headlights. So I ordered some Baja Design SAE fogs for now. I mounted them to my bumper support bar and positioned them right in front of the core support mounts. I love how slim the lights are, you can barely even notice they are there. These lights helped out a lot!

Drove to Conroe TX for Lone star throw down a couple weeks ago. Ive bought tickets the last few years but Plans have always changed. But since the burb was running and driving. Figured this would be the perfect shake down run. Its about 3hrs of solid highway speeds. The burb made it there and back without issues. I did manage to figure out a few things that need to be changed. Exhaust is on top of the list! All in all, it was a great trip and definitely159959625_4513856255296594_6631203643852103509_n.jpg159639733_4513856121963274_7067199909717697130_n.jpg look forward to going back next year.

Just went through the whole thread. I can't get over how clean this thing is. The work you've done is top notch. Well done!

And that swing-out, drop-down tire carrier is the bees knees. Have any videos of it working?
