Swettysblazer's 1991 K5 Trazer: ONE TONS!

Mine are noticeably bigger than the 35 inch mtrs for my Blazer. When everything is mounted up I can probably grab a comparison shot. Whenever my PVC inserts decide to ****ing show up.

Yeah, rich and I got them through feltz. Ordered on a Monday and got them Friday.... And believe me when I say I feel like we stole them....

Well I got five tires. Four are seventy percent plus (probably closer to 80) and one at 60 plus and with shipping I'm into these for less than five bills....

They were real easy to deal with on the phone too. They price depending what tread and what availability they have. I think we got a little better deal because we ordered 11 between the two of us. You'd have to give them a shout if you're interested.

got it.

I was looking at some the other day on ebay, $400+ freight for 4 Baja's with 80% or more tread. Locally here they want $250 a tire with 75% or more :doah:

So I am really happy with how the truck did wheeling this weekend. The tires worked awesome. I cannot think of a place where I wish I had some more traction. It was nice to pretty much be able to point a line and shoot and have the tires grip and just propel me up.

Also super happy with the shackle flip. The ride quality on and off road is awesome. Even with the Rough Country front springs, the ride is sweet. Not as harsh as it used to be and I can actually drive the truck without getting beat up.

Now, on that note, I think the next stage of this build is going to be taking place. The body is beat. Throughout the weekend, my dad came with me and the passenger seat started ripping through the floor. He was reclining more and more as the weekend went on :haha:
Also, the body damage on this kinda is getting to the point where it's hard to get everything to work properly. The floor on the driver side is shot, and there's holes all over the place. I do not think it is worth my time or money to put any more money into this tub.

So, on that note, I am going to start looking for a truck cab. I like the abilities of a Trazer for the wheeling I do. I;ve got some ideas kicking around in my head, and I am going to start gathering some stuff for a tub swap. Thanks for tuning in!

Well... pickup cabs are cool until you got three of more people with you...than they suck! Sold my dads supper nice 85 short box because of that! I got my 77 cause it was almost free. One of the reasons I just use it as a yard truck, its useless for anything else...for my needs anyways. :dunno:

I wish I had a crew cab or a blazer.

I hear what you are saying Dean. I don't have the backseat in the truck anymore, and its usually by myself when I go wheeling. I think for what I wanna do this is the best option.

Just put a sleeper in the ratbag, plenty of room for the fam than

Looks like you got a good plan swetty!

What's the plans, super short box or flat deck?

Did you get the pvc inserts from Feltz too?

Yeah they are very nice people to deal with and you can't beat their prices

You will definitely want to get some weight in the back once you go trazer. My first ride as a trazer was with 4" lift springs, shackle flip, 1/2 tons and 35s. I kept lifting the rear tires while climbing even the smallest stuff.
