Swettysblazer's 1991 K5 Trazer: ONE TONS!

Good for you, My 1st trip out as a trazer was with 52" springs in back and no rear sheetmetal. It sucked, with no weight in the back, I kept lifting a rear tire

Do everything possible to shift weight to the back. Horton is or was pretty much what your building when I had the cab. Longer but the same principles apply. Putting a blazer gas tank back there helped alot.

Thanks for all the advice so far guys... Got a set of DIY motor mounts and some other stuff on the way. Hopefully see about getting a truck crossmember sourced or built soon, and then the thrash begins.

Yup. I have the 31 gallon tank & I fill it up every trip even though I dont need that much fuel, do it mainly for the weight

Nope. Not yet, gonna pull the cover off of this one to see what gears are in it and hopefully find a 60 to match...
