So, updates.
Since the Great Dunefest Transfer Case Evacuation, I have been working on the truck A LOT. I got the new adapter in, along with rebuilding the transfer case. This was a job I was nervous about, but after doing it, it wasn't bad at all. Really happy with how it turned out and it works way better than it did before.
Since then, I have been wheeling three times. This thing likes to eat front u joints and I wound up nuking a front shaft. I blew the yoke apart on the axle end after getting bound up in the rocks. Also put a new exhaust on and changed that catalytic converter which was clogged and its running really well right now.
This thing really needs a suspension revamp though. The 4 inch Rough Country springs in the front aren't cutting it anymore. They're super stiff and the bushings are smoked. Rather than reuse them, I think I am going to get some new 4 inch BDS springs for the front and throw those in there to help the ride off road. It's pretty bad right now, one day of wheeling and you feel like you just drove cross country in a dump truck. I also need to do the FUSH mounts as they are bad as well. I also want to do the 57 inch Ford springs in the back to help out as well.
While its apart, I am going to swap in the 1 tons I have from my 78 Blazer. I am also thinking about gearing them at the same time, but we will see.
