Teck's '86 K5 Build -5.3 LS/4L65E swap

Good luck! At the worst, it will get done later then sooner, but, It will get done sooner or later! You are in the final stretch now!

Had to take a few parts back to the powdercoat shop. They powdercoated surfaces they were not suppose to, then did not do all of the front hubs. So kind of on hold waiting for the parts now.

That's ok for this weekend because I'm off to the Nascar races here in Texas for the weekend.:D

Parts are ready to pick up from the powdercoat shop, Finally!
Droped the transmission housing off at the transmission shop to get built.
Pick up spicer soild ujionts for the drive shafts yestarday.
And just ordered a borgenson steering shaft from XDP.

Also thinking I'm going to try to take the block and heads to the machine shop next week.

Started reassembling the 14bolt this week.

Holy crap that thing is clean. Are you going to be able to drive it or just trailer it everywhere? lombardi

Thanks guys. I will drive it for sure.
Got alot going on on it hoping it can all come together in next couple of weeks. It's just hard when you have to wait on other people that aren't on your time schedule.
Cause I'm ready to start on the motor when this stage is done.

Wow, I think I have to many thing going on at one time on this to get it all figured out.

Stopped by PSC today talked to them about doing my steering box for hydro-assist or if I should just tap it myself.:dunno:

Tranny guy called about what needs to be done on the tranny finally, getting parts order by the end of the week, so hopefully it will get done in the next couple of weeks.:D

14 bolt is built, I would have done it but he is the expert so I just let him do it.

Then I have been trying to rap my brain around the motor thing. Rebulid the 383 or just get a LS1, 6 or 6.2 liter. There is a guy that does the swaps that move in just up from my shop. Says he can get everything for around what it will cost me to rebuild mine.:dunno::dunno::dunno:

To many decisions to make at this time.

nice shop! :waytogo: metal shop???

He use to have a 4wheel drive shop, it burned in 01. That is the shop he built at his place after that. He still does some 4 wheel drive work there. But he can build almost anything.
